Where Are the Birds and Bees?

0

the rest of the winter is mild. The spring rains last far into the summer now. We had many birds and you couldn’t walk through the grass without the fear of getting stung by a bee if you were barefoot. This past summer there were very few honey bees and people said they were dying off and didn’t know why. Think about all the flowers, fruit trees and vegetation that depend on the bees. It is a scary thought wondering what would happen without them to pollenate for us. I am sixty years old and this is the first winter when I have put out bird seed and the birds are not coming. It is cold and windy and they have always come to eat this time of year. Now you may say they just don’t like my bird seed but I have changed it to see if that would make a difference. It has not. A close friend of mine is noticing the same thing. Even the chickadees have abandoned my feeders. I am not sure what is happening but I miss them very much.
