Where are the Best Small Plates in Minneapolis, Minnesota?

My husband & I have been loyal to Solera (we had the luck of making dinner reservations for New Year’s, so we did not get stuck out in the cold or miss out on our money’s worth of drinks). My only reservation with this restaurant is the dessert menu. Being the chocolate person that I am, it’s extremely disappointing to see that 99% of it does not include chocolate (the exception being the dessert sampler, which includes a tiny chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich). I know the owners read these postings, so please add some chocolate! Thanks!Pros + Excellent Food, Service, & AtmosphereCons – The Most Important Part – Dessert!

The first time I came here, I walked in with my friend on a Friday night, and then walked right out because it was completely dead in there. The hostesses seem half asleep and you get the feeling you’re going to have bad service. The second time I went there was with my boyfriend. We came after dinner to have a drink and listen to the Flamenco music and watch the flamenco dancer. We sat down at the bar and we were not greeted. I didn’t see anyone working there. The other customers looked bored and tired. Every once in a while I would see someone come behind the bar, but then leave right away. I had to ask for a drink….and it took about 15 minutes for the drink to come. Keep in mind, there was hardly anyone in the whole place. It’s a shame that such a creative and unique place has to have such bad service!! I love that they have Flamenco music and dancing here…..that’s what I went for. The only positive to the place was the entertainment. I had a Sangria, and I did no

I have not experienced every item on their food menu, but I know they change it up every so often giving you a good mix of choices, and I like that. I have yet to have a wine from Cesare?s that I am disappointed with or felt I over paid for. Their wine prices are reasonable. They have a very respectable yet versatile wine list so you should expect to see a good range of prices. The service has respectably been enough to keep me coming back once or twice a month to small talk and enjoy great food, wine and service. I feel most comfortable about choosing Cesare?s over other wine bars or bar and grills because they are great with their wine recommendations, optimistic and friendly of all people and friends who choose to visit. No person, place, or thing is perfect so I cannot give this rating a five, but I honestly feel a four is realistic in that I would recommend Cesare?s Wine and Bar to most people.Pros + Great wine list in a good setting.

Went with some friends last night around 10:30 p.m. Had a great dinner-spot-on service. Their wine list is always fantastic and where else can you get wine, scotch, and tequila flights? Only complaint was that the bratwurst seemed a little over priced- $6.50 for one brat with a little spicy brown mustard. Everything else was amazing and well worth it- the tuna, stickney hill goat cheese, and the ratatuille.

Remember that girl in high school who tried too hard to be popular? Chino Latino is the restaurant equivalent.Examples:- The jerk chicken is obscured by 50 pieces of fried plantain sticking out of it….
