Where are the best seats in an imax theater?”
But usually, the closer you are to the center the better the seat. Which means you not only have to be centered in front of the screen, but centered between the front and the back of the theater. I saw Superman Returns in Imax last year, and we ended up a little to close and to the side. It was still good, but being closer to the center would have been much better. You might want to check this theater which lists what it considers to be its best seats: http://www.odyssium.com/imax.html I hope this helps!!
I sat in the front row on the left recently for the museum movie with Ben Stiller, which I can unequivocally say are the WORST seats in an IMAX theater. Such is life when you get to the movie late. I have had seats in the middle of the middle rows and they are perfect, although anywhere from the middle up are probably good, just not too far left or right, because then you get the curve and distortion.
