Where are the Best Pet Services in Charlotte, North Carolina?
I recently moved to Charlotte and as a housewarming gift my brother gave me a puppy. Per the breeders instructions I had 72 hours to take the dog to the vet and get a checkup. If I didn’t I couldn’t get a refund of my money if anything was wrong with the dog.I found a vet close to my house and made an appointment. When I arrived at the vet they informed me that the doctor canceled my appt and I would need to reschedule a week later. I told them my story and that it would be too late. They didn’t care. So I told them to forget about it I would find another vet.I went home and started looking for another vet. I was discouraged because it was the last day and it was already 4:30pm. I found Harris Blvd Vet and figured what the heck let me see if they will take me. They said if you can get here by 5:30pm we will see you.I raced over and was greeted by the NICEST people ever. Happy Tails Kennel & Groom Room has been fabulous to my two dogs, Peeker (a 11 year old Pekingese) and Brownie (a little over 1 year old standard Chihuahua). Previous to living in Charlotte, I would always get a pet sitter I knew to care for them while I was on vacation. I moved to Charlotte in 2007 and was unsure of a reputible and caring kennel in Charlotte. I did some research and finally decided on Happy Tails. I was very pleased with their staff & the care my pets recieved. The staff is very caring and treated my two bubs with the utmost quality of love I would expect. During Peeker’s stay he was having severe back spasms that hindered his movement. The staff worked with him and gave him his meds as directed. They also worked with Brownie, who was very unsure of them at first…he would bark & show his teeth, but by the time I picked him up, he was much easier around them. I will rate this a “10” the staff was great with my dog. She is a 15 yr old poodle mix and is nerves when away from mommy. The staff at Posh Pets pampered to her needs. I called to make appointment and was told to bring her on in. They took excellant careof my Pebbles and had her done in about 1 hr. When I picked up Pebbles she was not shaking like she used to with my other groomer. Thanks again for taking care of my little one!!
I don’t worry about our dog when we leave town anymore, because she’s in the care of Gopher Dogs. The company really cares about the clients– human and dog! You can schedule everything online, which is super convenient, and if you come back to the house early, all you have to do is call the sitter and they’ll credit your account. Also, they have an online dog diary service. The dog diary lets you check in on the dog while away. Also, we’ve had a few family emergencies and had to leave town unexpectedly. Thank God Gopher Dogs understands things happen and took care of our dog while we left town. An added bonus is that they will bring in your mail and newspapers. I think they’ll even water your plants if you ask them too. I don’t know why anyone would bother taking the dog to the kennel when Gopher Dogs is so convenient and reasonably priced (compared to leaving our dog at the vet kennel).
