Where are the Best Margarita in St. Louis, Missouri?

Having recently moved here from LA, I have longed for good Mexican food. I would say now that I have found it. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff very friendly and the food top notch. I am amazed as some of the posts have talked about rude service. I disagree…my experience was quite the contrary. We experienced very friendly and attentive waiters. The chips and salsa are amazing. They present 3 different salsas that are fresh and very tasty. I ordered the combo plate and everything was fresh, and served hot. The sopapilla desert was amazing with an incredible raspberry sauce on top of a cinammon sopapilla topped with fresh mango, blueberries and ice cream. The margaritas are great too. I highly suggest this place. I am looking forward to going again and sitting on the outdoor patio.

We took a big (12 people) family gathering there on a Sunday afternoon. We called ahead, and they had a table set up for us pronto. Great food (no plain old TexMex here) at reasonable prices. And the chips & salsa are great. Try the hot – it’s not too bad and has lots of flavor!Pros + inexpensive, serviceCons – can’t think of any!

I’m originally from California where I’m used to cheap but tasty Mexican food. I was anxious to try Hacienda after glowing recommendations and after having ate there I can say that I was very disappointed with the food. I had a 3 combo – chicken hard taco (chicken was soggy), pork tamale (better than average) and beef enchilada (red sauce was overpowering) with everything being on the salty side. Instead of fresh salsa it had the consistency of red tomato sauce. The margaritas are good except that it’s pretty sad to have them served in plastic ‘dixie’ cups when you sit outside on their beautiful dining patio.I would recommend only going for the drinks & apps otherwise the entrees were disappointing.Pros + margaritas, outdoor patio, parkingCons – , plastic cups, crowded

I wound up going with a friend on a Saturday evening around eight. There was virtually no wait, and the server was on us like a lion on an antelope carcass. He was knowledgable and provided us with ample time to make our selections without trying to “make suggestions”, that I find are usually dishes the kitchen has too much of and is trying to get rid of. The chips and salsa kept coming and our food was out before we finished our first basket of chips and dip. The alchoholic drinks were a bit pricey; without them, we would have spent between twenty and thirty dollars for two. The portions were sizable and I had to bring a doggie bag home…not something I normally have to do at most restaurants. I ordered the sausage fajitas. The sausage was slightly oversalted, but good nonetheless. It’s a straight-forward, no-frills, non-chain place that delivers the goods from south of the border. It’s
