Where are the Best Margarita in New York, New York?
So 3 of us were seated at a table for two with a chair added that was actually on the stage. I ordered chicken and ribs, the ribs portion consisted of 4 overdone ribs that I tried to gnaw off the bone but was so tough I gave up. the chicken portion was a leg and thigh that was so tiny I could not believe. Fries and corn on the side but no butter, salt or ketchup. When I told the waitress that the meal was unacceptable she snatched it from me and walked away not even offering to replace it with something else. She dissapeared for so long that my friends finished eating before I was able to flag her down to request something else. I will go there for music but my eating days there are in the past!Pros + atmosphere, crowd, musicCons – waitstaff and food
As a loyal and faithful Florencia 13 customer, I often check citysearch in anticipation of them receiving best Margarita and burrito.. again. Please note that I’ve been consistenly going to this POSITIVE and high-energy filled hotspot for over a year. I still go there about 3 times a week, and truly feel like I’m part of La Familia.Although I have never written a review before, after viewing the aftorementioned review, I was SHOCKED and appalled at the audacity at the particular customer to dare to try to denote the value of the staff there. I feel debted and compelled to rebuttle. Why? Because on that particular evening…last friday, the 3rd, I WAS THERE.I was sitting at the bar, and the restaurant was busy. Um, Friday night… at Florencia…being a 1/4 busy??? Just thinkin about that fabricated image seems ridiculous.Other dedicated regulars and myself were enjoying the fantastic food and mood set prior. This girl, whom the staff tried politely to accomodate, didn’t stop tr
Went here last night, still slightly hung over, pardon the gramaticals, etc. Anyways, a friend of mine was throwing a little shin-dig there and we arrived and were greeted by a pretty nice bouncer. The place was f-ing packed, i felt like I was at a concert, sans the music, and hipsters. A lot of people were there before taking the boat back to jersey (you know what I mean), some cute girls, mostly people in groups. The drinks were all served in plastic cups, after pleading with the bartender to give a me glass, he still wouldnt, damn. Beer bottles were served in the alluminum bottles (think yankee stadium). All in all, the plastic cups said it all… before I even got a drink, that this place was one big frat party…. w/o pong, flip cup, music, etc. The margaritas were pretty good, very strong, and the service was decent. I woulnd’t come back voluntarily, but you never know. A good place to go with a group of dudes to try to pick up some cuties (maybe…).Pros + nothing re
I have not eaten in the restaurant but ordered twice. Each time they quoted delivery within 30 minutes. The first order came within an hour and the second time I tried them it took 40 minutes and the order was wrong. I ordered a taco salad and they sent a dish of guacamole. I asked for diet soda and they sernt regular in small bottles that resembles the 1940’s. None of the food descriptions were accurate. The ingredients listed either never appeared or was so minimal it didn’t matter….and they sent sides for one entree and not the other. I was on the phone with them for 1 1/2 hours and they offered to send another meal. please…….don’t order in,
WAY WAY WAY overrated My gf took me here and the place was packed on a tuesday night. The guacamole i will say was very good. Margaritas were also pretty good but the food was insanly priced for mexican cuisine and was anything from authentic. Swordfish and filet mignon? who are they kidding. The black beans were obviously a can of goya black bean soup and so was the yellow rice, no flavor or sofrito or anything. Give me a piece of pork or something in the beans for a little taste. the service was good but it was obvious they wanted you out of there to sit the next couple quickly.Pros + guacamole, but you can make it yourselfCons – prices, wait, authentic food? i dont think so
