Where are the Best Margarita in Los Angeles, California?
I found Joselito’s by looking in different restaurant review websites. Joselito’s won several “BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT” awards in Los Angeles. I made the 25 minute drive from my house to see if what I read was for real or a disappointment. Joselito’s has got to be without a doubt the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant north of the border and better then most that are south of the border. The “Burrito Lito” has got to be the biggest and best burrito I have ever eaten. I have yet been able to finish it. Their enchiladas are out of this world. There is something about the enchilada sauce that is so special. I always ask for extra sauce. The lunch buffet has a nice selection of traditional Mexican fare and is very reasonably priced. The creme de la creme is the elaborate Sunday Brunch. Make sure you arrive hungry when you get there. On one occation, my dining companion ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger. I laughed and asked why he ordered a hamburger at a Mexican restaura
If you love great, traditional style Mexican food, this place is great! Large menu, multiple choices like three varieties of beans (black, refried, & whole pintos). I have been eating here for quite a few years and the food and the service has always been consistant. Yes, they get crowded at dinner time, especially on the weekends so plan on a wait if you don’t have reservations. Parking can be brutal during busy hours since there is only street parking available and all the other restaurants and shops fight for the same parking on the street. I saw where another reviewer complained about the wait and went across the street to El Torito and was seated immediately. What does that tell you? They’re not as busy because their food is not as good as Don Cuco’s. I can’t think of a “GOOD” restaurant I’ve gone to for dinner that someone wasn’t waiting to get seated. Maybe for people who hate waits, they should eat at Denny’s, I’m sure they must have some kind of offering that resembles Mexican
MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO EL CHAVO FOR 20 YEARS AND LOVING IT…THE PLACE WAS DARK, DUSTY WITH “TACKY” DECOR…WE LOVED IT..LAST NIGHT WE WENT FOR DINNER AND TO OUR SURPRISE IT HAS BEEN STRIPPED AND REDECORATED….”AWFUL”…WHERE IS THE WONDERFUL DECOR WE LOVED SO WELL?? THE DARKNESS THAT AFTER 2 DRINKS YOU COULD NOT FIND THE EXIT DOOR..I SPOKE WITH THE WAITER AND HE SAID THEY WERE CLEANING UP AND MAKING THE PLACE BIGGER…I TOLD HIM I DID NOT LIKE THE “NEW LOOK” AND THAT I HOPE THE FOOD AND THE DRINKS DO NOT CHANGE..WELL, TO MY SURPRISE, THE DRINKS AND THE FOOD ARE STILL WONDERFUL AND THE RESTUARANT IS STILL PACKED WITH QUEENS..” CHEERS ” TO EL CHAVO…MAY YOU LAST ANOTHER 20 YEARS
So, after using Citysearch to help me find many quality restaurants, I decided to go ahead and join the cause. Paco’s Tacos was good enough to make me want to write my first review. So here goes. First off, I read some earlier reviews about parking issues. I have to say, we had no problems with this. The restaurant is directly in front of a residential area, so I assume that there can be parking issues, but we got there pretty early in the evening (around 6ish), with 3 different cars, and we all found parking spots right next to the restaurant. The service was good and fast. The waiters were very attentive with refills but not overbearing. The decor was a little tacky, but many Mexican restaurants are the same, and it is kind of cool to see them making fresh tortillas in front of you (which are yummy by the way!). The food overall was great too. My boyfriend, who is not such a huge fan of what he calls “Californian” Mexican food, was impressed. He said his chimichangas were great. I ha
