Another Mexican restaurant review from me I already mentioned before that nothing can beat Dos Reales taste as far as Mexican foods go located in Champaign IL. However I must contend that Uncle Julios comes pretty close. The food was really good. The service was pretty good as well. They even gave us FREE desert bcuz it was our first time there. The owner also came and greeted us and hoped that we would return there in the future. The bad part is the parking. They have a lot but its VALET. urgh Also they dont serve HORCHATA. What kind of Mexican restaurant are you if you dont have Horchata I was very disappointed about that.Otherwise a good place to eat and have awesome conversations I shall return Uncle Julio

We were looking for Mexican on N. Michigan and decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a patio, but we decided to sit inside due to weather. The service was very quick during lunch. My only real complaint is that the chips did not seem very fresh. We collectively had enchiladas, tacos, rellenos, etc. There are many options with the entrees for sides and sauces, which I likes. Good for vegetarians, and many fish options as well. Reasonably priced. Drinks were poured strong, which is a good thing. If you’re on N. Michigan ave, I’d suggest Blue Agave for a nice, casual lunch!

I have frequented the Matchbox in the past in hopes that I would have a good time there. I was there one night and was actually accused of being a “bad tipper!” How hard is it to tip a bottle of wine into a glass and how much do you think you deserve for that talented maneover? Get over yourselves all ready. My husband went in just last Saturday – 9/2, and could not even get someone to wait on him in what was an very uncrowded bar. Whatever happened to service? If I can avoid it, I will never go there again simply because the service of most of the male bartenders is appalling. The girls, great, always helpful. But the guys seem to think they only have to wait on the pretty, single girls and the guys who are big tippers, and let’s face it, you’re working at a bar and you’re almost 40 years old. Get over yourselves.Pros + Most of the drinks are expertly madeCons – Service is not a word that applies to this establishment
