Where are the Best Highlights in Raleigh, North Carolina?
When Larry Dunlap first styled my hair, I was modeling, had a job on the books and in a panic since my stylist had died. Someone recommended Larry and said even though he was new, he was a master. They were right. I took the chance and my mass of long hair looked great for the shoot. Larry has been my stylist ever since. He designs my hair to fit my face, my career, my hectic lifestyle and my age! As I got older (and grayer!) he suggested a shorter style and he did it beautifully, too. Even if I don’t take any time with my hair, or wait too long between appointments, my hair style looks fresh. I call him my hair sculptor – absolutely would not go to anyone else. The atmosphere is relaxing, he is fun and I always leave refreshed and looking terrific. I am four hours from Raleigh, and have always traveled to have Larry style my hair. This was my first time ever going to a salon in the Raleigh area. I normally go home once a year to get my hair done, but I just couldn’t stand it anymore. After searching around on Google, I found Samuel Cole. I was somewhat hesitant, considering their listed price of a regular wash/cut/style (I’m a poor college student) and the fact that I’m very particular with my hair. But my first visit was PHENOMENAL! Not only was the receptionist incredibly friendly, so was Nico. She greeted me with a handshake and a warm smile, and we immediately hit it off!Professional, friendly, and so upbeat, I couldn’t ask for anyone better! I absolutely LOVE my new haircut. It’s the first time I’ve ever been fully satisfied with it. I was referred to Lauren by a coworker who is very particular about her hair. Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed! I had a head full of hair since it was not cut or colored since last August! Lauren took the time to listen to what I wanted as far as cut and color. She offered a few magazines for me to find pictures of styles I liked and then went through them with me to find what would work best for my hair type, face shape and skin color. I believe in working with what you have; not fighting against it. I think some people are disappointed when they are unable to get the look they want because they are expecting too much for what they have to work with. A miracle is not going to come in the form of good hair. Lauren spent a lot of time with me and even stayed after hours to make sure she did a complete overhaul on my hair. I have been going to this salon since they opened the doors, I get my color, pedicures, facials and eyebrow waxes there. I was told last week about the citysearch voting taking place. If your reading this post i want you to know this salon is AMAZING. There is so much attention to detail! The skills, decor and just the way they make you feel when you walk in the door is fabulous. They always make me my favorite- green tea with fresh mint and honey. Everyone always greets me and makes me feel so special- i have been to some salons and the other stylists never even smile. I have been going to Cameron Village’s Hair Color Xperts for awhile now. I have tried out all the stylists and I have absolutely loved it. Recently i have been going to the new girl Cassie and i have been very pleased but i wouldn’t be afraid to try anyone else if she couldn’t get me in. I have never walked out of there dissappointed. It has been one of the best places i have ever gone. I have tried out so many salons in Raleigh and have been very let down. I feel so comfortable when I am in there and I really love how clean it is and how sweet everyone is to EVERYONE!!! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to go there and i have. If you are looking for a new hair stylist i would say hands down go to Hair color Xperts. I have never been more satisfied with my hair than i am now… THANKS HAIR COLOR XPERTS!!! Pros + You get a rose at the end, they call to remind you the day before of your appt. and they are open 7 days a week… Cons – Manager can be a little rude, but she doesn’t do
