Where are the Best Highlights in Raleigh, North Carolina?
I moved here recently from NY and asked my neighbor who cuts/colors her hair because it always looked so good. She suggested I make an appointment with Michele Wright at Haircolorxperts at the Arboretum in Cary.I have always had a problem with fine, limp hair and was never able to achieve a ‘natural’ style. Michele listened to my concerns and discussed my current routine before she began to work. When she was done, I was thrilled! I couldnt believe that after all these years, someone finally got it right! Even my husband, who doesnt notice anything, was impressed with her work. I was so pleased with her that I made an appointment for color before I left the salon. I went back a week later and was equally impressed with the color Michele applied. I couldnt thank Michele enough for doing such a wonderful job and making me feel really good about my hair. If you are from the tri state area and are looking for an expert in the field, Michele is the girl you want to make an appointment
We have just had a girls night at the salon. We wanted to do something special for a friend and mentioned this to Dara, who absolutely said that they could do something special for us. I can truely say that she delivered it was like having a pampering evening in your home(except we had trained professionals). We had the salon to ourselves as on Mondays they are normally closed, we were able to order food, had wonderful drinks and a great time. The entire team Dara, Cara, Barbra and Caroline did a great job they went with the flow and were able to give each of us the treatments that we wanted. If you are looking for a great full service salon with great prices in Fuquay you should absolutely try this place out. I have lived in Raleigh for about 4 years now and I found a hair stylist when i first moved. Not so long after, she moved and the company would not tell me where she went, so i tried a few other stylists and just didnt like them. I have really dreaded getting my hair cut since then and its been a couple of years. I have always been a hair person, wanting all the latest cuts, but when you dont trust someone, you dont really care to get your hair cut. I happened to drive by Elle one day and made a call to check out the 411, and fell in love just by talking to them on the phone. They asked about my hair type, and what style i wanted so they could pair me with the best stylist for me. The set up an appoinment with extra time to discuss my hair with the stylist. Mary Taylor cut and styled my hair and i have to say, she is amazing. She took the time to listen to me explain how my hair is, and exactly what i wanted. I have to say I’m a little disappointed to see some of the negative comments on here about Salon Blu in Brier Creek. I have been going to Amanda for almost 2 years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. She is professional, friendly, and does amazing things with color. I get more compliments on my hair than I ever have with any other stylist and I’m always quick to refer people to Amanda. Somehow she manages to make my hair look awesome and color it exactly how I want it done, even when I’m not sure what I want! She is talented, quick, and knows what she’s doing. I have never had a bad experience with any of the other staff there either. I have taken my 14 year old Stepson there on 2 occassions and he’s been pleased with the outcome as well. He lives in Texas and will only get his hair cut at Salon Blu when he’s in Raleigh. It says a lot about a stylist if they can please a picky 14 year old boy! Being new to the area, I stumbled upon this place, so in dire need of hair service (cut and color) I decided to give them a call to see if I could get worked in. The receptionist was able to fit me in asap. I arrived a little late because I got a little lost, and as soon as I arrived, the staff was amazingly friendly and my hair dresser “Andrea” took me right back. She had great conversational skills and it felt like she had been my hair dresser forever. The owner is extremely bubbly and made me feel right at home. My initial call was for a cut, be she squeezed me in for color as well. I am one who is very particular with my hair and color and Andrea did a GREAT JOB!! I don’t think I gave her enough credit. Thank you Andrea!!! Not to mention that on your first visit you get a discount of 20%. Tell me that not great!! I advise anyone to stop by and check it out!!! Pros + Great Customer ServiceCons – None
