Where are the Best Highlights in Houston, Texas?
So I don’t even know where to begin. I guess we should start with Ashley – She is phenomenal with color combinations. Seriously, she is truly talented at what she does. I gave her full reign to do whatever she’d like and she literally blew my mind. I’ve now got brown hair with these gorgeous red and copper highlights. It’s been 7 days and I’m stilling getting compliments – Everyone loved it!! I would highly recommend her! Next, I went to see Vance for a cut. Needless to say, I was terrified. I knew I wanted a change but couldn’t handle drastic. She took her time, didn’t rush me at all, and then we talked out a few options. I ended up giving her the same leeway I gave Ashley, to do as she wanted. Can you Awesome! I have bangs now..lol I haven’t had bangs since 1982! But they look great! Traumatic childhood/teen/adult experiences taught me that while hair does indeed grow back, the interim experience tends to be brutal. Due to learning lessons the hard way, hair salons are now something I have no problem being a snob about. After a mullet experience not too long ago, I now run in the opposite direction of a friend of a friend cutting my hair or finding the ‘best deal’ on haircuts in town. I’d rather not look like Billy Ray OR Carrot Top, thank you. Jill at Venus is the only person in Houston who I trust to take shears to my hair. Sometimes I go in with a photo of a cut I want, other times I just need a few inches lopped off to get me back where I was the last time I was there. Never have I left the salon in tears or had to go back and have Jill fix her cut. The prices for haircuts are outstanding and Jill has a legion of followers. MY DAUGHTER & I STARTED GOING TO THE UPPER HAND/ROYAL OAKS ABOUT 6 WEEKS AGO. WE WANTED SOME PLACE CLOSER TO HOME & THOUGHT WE’D TRY IT OUT. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I’m new to this area and I am VERY particular about who I let touch my hair. I am one of those people that has went to the same person since high school. I even drove 6hrs just to get my hair done. So I guess you can say I was super picky! After reading the reviews on here I decided I would give Celina a try for my haircut. I was very nervous but I thought I would try and be open to it…well im very glad that I was. She did an awesome job. She listened to what I had to say and gave me her interpretaion on it. She walked me through each thing that she was doing to my hair and explained why. She really put me at ease and did an amazing job. While I was in her chair I had mentioned that it was way past time for me to get highlights and she recommended me to Talia…again I was very nervous but open to it because I trusted Celinas opinion.
