Where are the Best Highlights in Charlotte, North Carolina?
After visiting several other salons in the Charlotte area and not being 100% satisfied I was on the hunt for some place new. After doing some research on several salons I stumbled upon FRESH Salon which had several Great reviews. Still slightly hesitant about trying a new place I put it off. On New years Eve while out dancing I meet a girl in the restroom who ‘s hair I was absolutley in LOVE with. Low and behold when I asked her where she got her hair done she replied “FRESH”! Very soon after I called to book an appointment and I had an excellent experience with the front desk staff who were very curtious and fit me right in! I saw Lisa for my color and Emily for my cut. They were both excellent! I was up for a change from my norm and they offered great suggestions and really took the time to talk to me! I would recommend that everyone visit this salon! I had been spoiled when I moved here from Washington DC. My best friend there is a top stylist that is booked months in advance with all the “Who’s Who” of the DC metro area. So for the first few years I would fly back on E-savers for her to do my hair, but that became too inconvenient. I started searching and after TONS of trial and error, I finally found Jason at Varji.Both the south park location and the Morehead street location are nice. Jason mainly works at Morehead which works best for my Elizabeth location. However I have zero hesitation to travel to South Park when he is there. He takes the time to listen and his cut is fantastic. After my second visit he had my color down perfectly (he had to fix a mess I brought him the first visit). He really funny and kind, and makes you feel right at home. I have had several strangers stop me and ask me about my cut since I started seeing him in November. I needed a quick color refresher and contacted the color expert salon. The salon stated that their styists were booked for the day but the manager Eve, whom does not do hair regularly, took care of me that day. My hair looks fabulous. I am from Pennsylvania and it is difficult to get a cutting edge look. She took the time to listen about my previous hair stylists, what I liked and disliked, and she offered many suggestions. At this salon they promise a personalized hairstyle and they delivered. If only they could franchise one up north along with some of their experts! About one month ago I made an appointment for a facial at the Carmen & Carmen salon. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, they told me that my appointment had been cancelled! I was getting upset because I did NOT cancel my appointment. Well, thank God they let me receive my facial anyway! My original appointment was for a 1.5 hour facial but instead I only received a 1 hour facial because they had to work me in since their computer showed that my appointment had been cancelled. But anyway, the facial was excellent! The girl that performed my facial was Stephanie. She done a good job. She let me choose the scents of the oil for me face. Also with this facial I received a neck and head massage…then the arms and hands. The lights was dark and the music was soft. The atmosphere was wonderful and I just about fell asleep. When the facial was over I paid $80 for the service plus a $10 tip because all in all…the service was good even though they had told me that my appointment had
