Where are the Best Highlights in Boston, Massachusetts?
I have only been to this new spa once, while I was in the area. It is large and beautiful and the staff are great and friendly. I wanted to try some Aveda products so I had a facial which was really good. Whatever they used in the beginning of the facial was the best. The aroma sent me to another world.I also had a foot soak prior to my facial which was unique and different but also quite enjoyable. My only concern was the therapist did not ask if I was allergic to anything and my face actually started burning during the facial mask. She removed it immediately and problem solved. To tell you the truth I had forgotten about all of my allergies too once she started with all the great aromas. Whats not to like with one of their services? I came to Betty wearing a baseball hat every time she saw me for hair color. One day she told me that if I did the Yuko Japanese Hair Relaxer, I could have the long, silky hair I had always desired…rather than the course, unruly curly hair I hid in a ponytail under a baseball hat! I was skeptical because you always hear relaxers are bad for the hair, but Betty was so knowledgeable, and gave me so many positive references to talk to before I made a decision, that I could not resist! As a lawyer, I am very type A, and like things well perfect! Every person that I called could not say enough about how happy they were with Betty’s work and the Yuko relaxer. I couldn’t resist and 3 years ago I did it! I am in love with my hair! I have the long, healthy, full locks I always dreamed about. Betty was fantastic, she told me everything that was going on during each step of the process and now I live in NYC and return to see her for root touch ups twice a year! For Valentines Day my husband gave me a gift certificate to the salon for a color and cut. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and asked if I would like coffee or a glass of water. Krysten was my hairdresser and I have never experienced such great professionalism and she actually took the time to consult with me about what I wanted to do with my hair. I recieved a relaxing scalp massage at the sink when they washed out my color, it was amazing I could barely walk when they where done, they said every client gets that treatment. Krysten’s talent and knowledge with color is amazing I have never loved my hair more. And the best part was my husband noticed and really liked. From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a smiling face! She actually took my coat and escorted me to the waiting area and offered to make my espresso. They have a 15 drink coffee bar! My stylist came out to greet me, everyone that walks by you smiles. You are instantly comfortable. I am always intimidated by salons and all the “beautiful people” in them. She listened to me, did more than what I asked for and actually gave me a lesson on how to do it. That was a first! Then she offered me a discount card for next time for other services I had never had done in there. When I asked if I could just use it that day, she asked her manager to make sure. The manager actually came over to me and insured me that not only could I use it, I would be so happy with the results. She also told me she was happy I was getting a discount!
