Where are the Best French Fries in Seattle, Washington?
Went last night with my wife. Pretty busy on the weekends so we waited at the bar. I’ve always appreciated their large assortment of local brews, especially the manny’s and mac n’ jacks. We waited for about a half hour and when we checked the list they had skipped over our name. However, I was very impressed how the waitstaff handled it. He immediately apologized and seated us promptly in a nice corner booth big enough for 6. I had the turkey club and my wife had the BLT. Both were above average. The portions are very generous and the fries are great! You gotta try the Monte Cristo! Wow! Overall, I recommend but not the best date place in the world.Pros + Monte Cristo Sandwich, Service is exceptionalCons – not a large food menu
Inside, the Luna Park Cafe is full of diner-era antiques throughout… old metal signs, functional neon displays and a working jukebox. There’s plenty to look at while you dine on a quality breakfast or lunch. The burgers are made with juicy flavorful patties and the vegetables are fresh, crunchy, and delicious. Milkshakes and sundaes are make with hand-dipped ice cream and are worth a try if your diet allows. Outdoor dining is available and it definitely helps during the busy times, as the cafe is not large inside. There’s only five or six parking spots next to the cafe, so expect to look for street parking if you drive. There is a bus stop almost right across the street if you take the bus.Pros + great diner decor and good foodCons – limited parking
This place gets packed because of location and beer. There is a wide selection of beer, and the cocktails are worth trying. The service is very busy but friendly. The fried artichoke hearts are sweet and much better than the calamari which is scrawny. The entree selection is very small. Do not choose the pasta, unless you don’t mind “pasta out of the freezer bag.” The hamburgers are the way to go, and the BBQ burger was alright. If you want good American food, without ambiance, then you’ll be better off at Johnny Rockets across the mall. The arrangement is inviting for large groups taking a shopping break, and can get pretty loud. Don’t expect much from the food. Just expect a large selection of beer. It is a “mall restaurant” so many people come here for the combination of convenience and beer — not the food.Pros + Beer SelectionCons – Seating Wait, Food Selection
I live in Issaquah and work in Redmond, so I hit Fatburger once a month or so. I love this place, here’s why: Excellent burger, not the best, but VERY good. Good service, good atmosphere. I’ve always found the service to be helpful, and the atmosphere is just what it should be. It’s not a vast wasteland like Dead Robin, but more of an old-time burgerstand feel. The burgers are all made-to-order, so don’t believe what that other yahoo was saying about a cold burger. You can tell them exactly what you want and don’t want on your burger, what else could you want? Sure it’s not cheap as far as burgers go, but I’d much rather pay for a good burger than save money on a crappy one!Pros + Food, Service, Atmosphere
i happen to have gone to fatburgers while in LA and liked them. granted it’s not gourmet, but at least it is made to order…just knowing that burgers aren’t sitting around is encouraging. this is not healthy food….french fries, onion rings, and a burger can put the hurtin on ya, but it never tasted so good! proceed with caution….don’t go big unless you plan on eating a huge burger and getting your picture on the wall.
