NOW THIS PLACE IS THE BEST.I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE THE WAIT STAFF IS SO INCREDIBLE NEVER DOWN PROMPT SERVICE.BOTTEMLESS FRIES AND LEMONADES WITH THE STRAWBERRIES OH MY GOD.NOW WHEN U GO U HAVE TO TRY THE CLUCKS AND FRIES ITS TO DIE FOR.I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE THE FOOD IS ALWAYS HOT JUST HOW I LIKE IT.THE SHAKES,DRINKS, AND THE MEALS ARE ALL DELICIOUS!!! Bates is the best restaurant to go to when looking for a quick lunch or dinner, but be sure and allow some time for them to prepare the burgers at lunch time. I don’t care for burgers, but I will eat 2 Bates burgers with onions, ketchup, mustard. My brother from Lansing tries to make a point to hit Bates whenever in town. My son who lives in Toledo also does the same thing. He heads for Bates, then to City Hall to see his dad. Since his dad had a heart attack, he has to stay away from greasey foods. Their fries are always nice and crispy and the chocolate shakes are very thick. An enjoyable little restaurant.
This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever known, and I’m so glad it’s right here in my city. Friendly and hilarious servers, who always greet you with a smile. Their fresh food is just awesome, and you can mix and match a lot of stuff, too. While you’re eating inside, you can enjoy all the decorations they have on the wall, or listen to the music and hollers of the guys ringing up a new order. Or you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Lipuma’s is a must to experience, and you will be satisfied with a full stomach and wide grin. Telly’s is a great place to have lunch. I work just up the street & eat there often. They are quick & friendly (the staff has been there as long as I can remember)! They always have a soup & sandwich special and a soup & salad special at lunch. Their salads are the best around.Pros + Quick & friendly-great lunch specialsCons – Some menu items are expensive
