Where are the Best French Fries in Atlanta, Georgia?
I’m a big fan of the burger craze of the last few years. It’s cool to have so many great (and creative) options around Atlanta for the sandwich that defines the US of A. But I keep going back to one that seems to be more American than any other, and that’s the burger at the EARL. For starters, it’s not too big and not to small, and there’s nothing fancy about it. It’s just 8oz of red meat slapped on the grill, served with lettuce, tomato and your choice of cheese. It tastes like the 4th of July. Plus they’ll actually cook your burger medium rare if you want it. While there are a multitude of sides (including tots) their shoestring fries are where it’s at. They’re always crispy and always salty. Which is the mark of a good fry to begin with. So get a PBR tallboy, go catch some new band that all the hipsters are excited about, and enjoy a night at East Atlanta’s best music venue. Pros + Burger + shoe string friesCons – They allow smoking
My husband and I have been out food sampling, since it has been to hot to cook at home. We stumbled across Five Guys by accident and we were indeed very pleased. The place was well lit and clean and the staff was most courteous to us. We orderded cheese burgers and fries, which one order was enough to feed both of us. I was expecting a single burger, but to my surprise, it was double meat. I thought they had made a mistake on the order. Nice fresh lettuce and tomato and whatever other toppings you wanted for “free”. Who doesn’t like free extras. I loved it and will return this weekend! I will be surely recommending Five Guys to all my family and friends. Way to go Five Guys! Keep up the good job!Pros + Good food, good location, Two thumbs up !!!!!Cons – Didn’t see any
An old friend and myself went to JCT Kitchen for dinner this past week end. My friend Linda and I hadn’t seen each other in quite sometime and were looking forward to having a nice dinner and catching up with what has been going on in our lives. We arrived and it was very busy but we were seated right away. We ordered wine and a specialty cocktail from the fun cocktail list. They were both great. We told the young man that was our server, who by the way looked as if he hadn’t shaved his face in several days, that we wanted sometime to visit but he continued to push us to place our order. He seemed to really have a chip on his shoulder and was somewhat short with us.We did eventually order and dinner was fantastic. The crakerjack salad was one of the best salads I have ever had. Where we had felt rushed in the begining, we later felt negletected during dinner when our server negletected to check back with us for sometime. When we had finished he seemed as if he wanted to push us out of
Checkers fries are the best tasting fries to me. McDonalds fries are also good, but the seasoning on Checkers fries make them sour to the top of my list. When MD’s fries go cold they are fine. When CK fries go cold they are good. When MD’s fries are fried hard they ara a waste. But when Checker’s fries are fried hard you still want to munch on them. Regardless.Pros + Two drive-throughsCons – No inside area
Steak n Shake was reminiscient of a Southern version of JOhnny Rockets. The place gives off a very 50’s diners vibe with an extensive menu. The steakburger was a quality hamburger and the milkshakes were heavenly. I also tried some of the melts that others had ordered, and I preferred them over the steakburger. Plus they were open late, which was extremely convenient during our late-night excursions in Atlanta.
