Where are the Best Exotic Drinks in Portland, Oregon?

My lovely girlfriend and I were on a mission to enjoy some Sushi while visiting Portland. It was 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, and many places were not open until 430 or 5pm. Thankfully we were directed to Dragon Fish. When we walked in, we found that besides the staff, we were the only ones in the place! The bar was inviting and the staff friendly and awaiting our requests. After a ice cold glass of Sapparro on tap, we ordered a basic California roll, and a crab, sprouts, lime, honey, & avocado roll. The ingrediants were fresh and it tasted fantastic! Then we moved on to a spicy tuna roll, again excellent! We discovered that the place was empty because people were awaiting a 4pm Sushi “happy hour”. Despite paying a little more for our choices, it did’nt matter, because when you must have Sushi, what’s a few more dollars?? The entire staff at Dragon Fish was friendly and attentive to our needs. Thank you Dragon Fish for being open when many, many Sushi bars were not!!Pros + O

Took a date here after dinner. It’s a good place for atmosphere but the drinks could have been better. Great to go in warm weather bc there’s a patio outside, the ambiance was really cool and overall I really liked it, but some of the drinks weren’t spectacular and when we ordered a Greyhound I couldn’t taste a drop of alcohol. The crowd was good – busy but not packed in, but the service was a little slow with the drinks. But if you’re looking for ambiance, it’s a good spot.Pros + Atmosphere, Outdoor/Couch SeatingCons – Slow Service, Weak Drinks

A friend and I stopped into Bartini a month or so ago for happy hour after hearing rave reviews. Unfortunately, we were SORELY DISSAPOINTED with the service. As it was pretty busy we sat at the bar, and the bartender asked to see our ID (good job doing your job). He then loudly told us we couldn’t be there because we weren’t of age, and, as the rest of the patrons were staring at us, told us to leave. Too bad we are, and a coworker awkwardly corrected his math. The bartender didn’t didnt apologize, but instead ignored us the rest of the meal. It isn’t like we were expecting to be comped or anything, but an acknowledgement of his embarassing mistake would have been in line. Perhaps he was embaressed, but it is more awkward if you just ignore customers who are a foot away from you on the other side of the bar. Anyways, the services was extremely slow for a simple happy hour. I don’t care for the excuse of “it is being made fresh”…it doesn’t take that long to make fondu or plate a salad

I agree with all comments from the previous review. The staff is wonderful, kind and personable. The food is superb. Fresh wrapped is good if it is not fried. All soup is scrumptious. The fried lobster bites are awsome (especially with the sauce)… the list goes on. Eat anything and you will be happy. Drinks are great and made by a bartender who knows their stuff.Big screen that is showing cartoons (or sportscenter) as you are listening to music.I miss the live DJ, but the staff generally has a good choice in music (or Aqua Teen Hunger Force). Not too crowded… and to me, this is the best part. This is an intimate and cozy bar with a non-smoking room in the front, a smoking room in the back (with great wall-art), and a couple tables out front during the dry season. Highly recommended! You must go there and try it out yourself!Pros + food, drinks, intimate atmosphere

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and boy am I glad I did. The nicest waitstaff, very knowledgable. Yes, it is a small menu but good and carefully considered(want a big menu – go to Applebee’s) and it does lean on meat more. The waitress told us that the chef had been a butcher and knew how to get the…
