Well, where shall I begin? First of all I had reservations for dinner but the door guy couldn’t seem to find it. He literally walked my friends and I to the hostess stand where low and behold I did have a reservation. We were seated fairly promptly because they will not seat you until the majority of your party is on the premesis. Once seated we were given the bread bowl, but no one thought to fill the water glasses. Once we had almost consumed the bread I was finally able to wave down a english challenged bus boy to let him know that we would like some water and to order drinks. I will say that once we had a waitress she was very attentive and sweet. The food was good, nothing to write home about, but good with a great presentation. The ambience was really nice, lots of candles, the tent like roof, waterfall and banana trees . A little chilly at night due to the open spaces between the roof and walls. After dinner we stayed around to dance. My friend went to the bathroom and I will sa

I’ve been coming to Bora Bora for years now and every time I go, I am reminded as to why I believe this restaurant is the best in the south bay (some restaurants start off good and then go downhill…i.e. Mama D’s and Towne in manhattan beach). I’ve been so pleased over the years that I became overwhelmingly compelled to write this review. Every dish that is served is here is delicious. Hands down they serve the BEST mac and cheese dish. It is made with at least 4 different cheeses and comes in a cast iron skillet….warm and yummy with enough for 4 (the half portion is more than enough for 2). I’ve tried their steaks, fish, chicken in addition to their appetizers and all are delish! The service is friendly, the place is quaint as well as cozy and not crazy packed. If you are driving down Highland you will pass right by it and that’s what makes it a hidden gem. All the locals love it here. Everyone that I bring is very satisfied and impressed. We went late last Sat night (after attending a tacky fight-night event) and the lounge side was rented out for a loud private party (Armenian?). An ambitious promoter from the party tried to charge us $25 for entry. As we were walking away, a waitress/bar tender from the restaurant ran up to us and offered us entry for no charge. She chastised the promoter and walked us in. We told her that we just wanted drinks and appetizers and she gave us friendly, courteous, and quick service! She sat us at a quiet table in the restaurant side, recommended great appetizers, and made our drinks herself. We had the popcorn shrimp and the Malaysian chicken skewers with ice cold and strong martinis! Though she was also working the private event, she checked on us often, brought us water, and refilled our drinks. She saved our evening! We live close by and will be back! Pros + Service, ambiance, martinisCons – Parking is valet only

Heavenly Mac n Cheese. Crispy baked cheese on top with warm gooey goodness on the bottom!Enjoyed the versatile seating areas from a casual loung area to a formal dining area. Staff is very friendly but the fountain soda’s were a little odd when I had dinner there.Pros + Heavenly Mac and CheeseCons – None
