Where are the Best Exotic Drinks in Los Angeles, California?

I’ve been here three times and have grown really fond of this place.  You can’t deny the massive amount of character that this little bar has.  Right when you walk in you’re greeted by mechanical puppets… kinda like the ones you’d see on Splash Mountain at Disneyland.  They pop out of logs, play little guitars…the whole shebang.  While this might sound kinda cheesy I personally love it and I love the decor and the drinks are great.  They have a few specialty drinks and I’ve had the s’more type one… i can’t remember what its called exactly… maybe campfire?  But you’ll know what I mean if you go…  They have a plethora of beers on tap which is great and the staff is just as great.  My favorite is the way they’ve set up some of their seating with a mock fireplace and a campsite kinda feel.  Whoever came up with the interior design of this place deserves some kudos.  Music’s awesome too btw.Minus one star though if you’re in there, it’s crowded, and your getting your drinks from t

I really like Fat Fish, especially considering there is sometimes parking around so I don’t have to give my car away to valet. The valet usually sets up on the side street right before the restaurant. The drinks are great and the crowd is young and trendy with your typical boho yuppie tinge. Great place for drinks with a group. I find the food is h*t or miss but have never been truly disappointed. I wouldn’t bring a first date here but it is a fine place to go with someone you are already involved with.Dip into the place next door for some blackberry cobbler dessert. The crowd there is old and the staff keeps their noses permanently upturned but the cobbler is worth ignoring them for.Pros + Great Place for Group Drinking and Tasty TreatsCons – It’s on Robertson and all that truly entails

You can definitely people watch or better yet celeb watch. The first time I was here…Solange (Beyonce’s sister) was dancing her butt off on the dancefloor, Prince and Janelle Monae were enjoying conversations on the couch, and QuestLove was happy to be in the building…so was I. Great place to socialize and have fun…Friday nights!

Open since 1967, the Bahooka Ribs & Grog is known as the ?working man?s Trader Vic?s restaurant? offering seafood, steaks, ribs, and the BEST reasonably-priced, most prolific menu of TROPICAL mixed drinks found outside the state of Hawaii: the Blue Hawaii, the Pina Colada, the Hurricane, the Zombie, and many others are all here. Some of them are flaming drinks and some arrive with the traditional paper umbrellas, fresh pineapple spear, and maraschino cherries. But be forewarned: Their alcoholic drinks are STRONG. The restaurant?s ambience has a dark, ?Gilligan?s Island,? shipwreck-decor. You may need to bring a discreet mini-flashlight to read the menu. There are 105 illuminated aquariums filled with fish?as pets?to admire and occasionally, you can hear The Beach Boys? music in the background. Some reviewers have criticized the food. Compared to fine steak and seafood restaurants, they’re right. However, the food at the Bahooka IS generally good and above average, with some entrees mad

Since I’ve been in LA, I’ve gone to mostly clubs and lounge-y type places. Fun, but not a lot of warmth. This place reminds me of home (just outside of Chicago). The Backstage is old-school (in a good way), unpretentious and friendly. The staff is not typical ‘seen it all, done it all’ LA types. They seem like regular people who care about doing their job well and making you feel comfortable. The food is bar food plus. I don’t know exactly where the ‘plus’ comes from, but everything I’ve tried here is better than at other places. The prices are low, the drinks are strong, and the room is very warm and comfortable. Nice mix of people, liking each other and having a good time. I wish the real world could be a little more like this place. There was a birthday party there the other night and the people seemed to be having more fun than a bunch of kids at Chucky Cheese. Pros + Friendly staff and crowd, great food, strong drinks, low pricesCons – Wish I lived a little closer
