Where are the Best Exotic Drinks in Atlanta, Georgia?
I went to Wihskey Park for the first time last night. I had called earlier that afternoon to reserve a table but never got a call back from a manager. When I arrived and asked if there was a table I was told that all tables had been sold out. I also asked for an escort into the VIP room and a waitress said she would get a manager but no manager ever came. My waitress WAS efficient (I eventually sat at a table just outside VIP.) However, I got the same old excuse of “it’s a private party” when I attempted to enter VIP.Some of us enjoy top-shelf service and have come to expect it when we go out. Clearly, Whiskey Park has some service issues to address and I am willing to give them a second chance since they just recently opened. But my first impression was overall a dissapointment and in the future I will expect better or I won’t be going back.
This place was a joke. Researching this place as a potential wedding rehearsal dinner site for a party of 40 people, our initial experience was a reception by some dumb brown haired bimbo incapable of greeting patrons with a smile. It was pretty easy to see that the “line dujour” was, “there are no seats downstairs, so you’ll have to take a bar seat upstairs”, as evidenced by everyone before us, and after us who was given the same story. Oddly enough, when we left an hour or so later, there was STILL no one downstairs. Secondly, it was so dark in this place, it’s a d&%m accident waiting to happen. I hope “Geisha” has good insurance in the House. If you’re trying to get your groove on, take your date to the Geisha House. The poor lighting and red lights may put him/her in the mood. Other than that, go elsewhere for your Japaneese dining experience.Uh, one other thing. My fiance wants me to mention that the food was good, albeit pricey. So, if you’re up for a $10.00 egg roll,
I went there for brunch two weeks ago and it was fabulous – huge buffet with yummy, fresh food (both cold and hot options) and attentive chef service. One of the best brunches in Atlanta by far for the food. However, service was definitely mediocre and our brunch took twice as long because the waitress was not attentive. The wait was a big surprise as she only had to serve us drinks, and for much of the time we were her only table. So go if you have time to spare!Pros + Great food, nice space & locationCons – Bad service
After an evening of groundbreaking performances by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, my guests and I decided to dine out at a nearby restaurant, of course, most of the restaurant closed at 11pm, next choice a lounge/bar, we decided on ?BELEZA? (means Beauty) on Juniper in Midtown. BELEZA Restaurant & Lounge is a trendy hotspot in Midtown known for it?s Brazilian flair small plates, creative cocktails, incorporating local and organic ingredients. As we entered the door, we were greeted by a friendly host, who escorted us quickly to our table. Bossa Nova, global beats filled the air, as we swayed back n forth in our plush, comfortable chairs. It?s a really cute, well designed..a bit small, however, cozy place to hang out with friends, grab a drink, a quick bite before or after the theatre. My guests and I, were starved, we decided on the same dish, Moqueca(Bahian Seafood stew, organic coconut milk, organic extra virgin olive oil, Mologueta peppers, cilantro, cashews) it was very good.
