Where are the Best DJs in San Francisco, California?
This bar is cool since it’s right down the street from where I stay. They have a smoking lounge (says it’s a patio, but actually indoors, which is nice) for smokers like me… They have a great happy hour, and 4 for $10 Jello Shots 24/7! Can’t beat that! There’s also dancing with a pretty big floor (for this part of town) but it gets packed on the weekends. The bartenders serve quickly and with lots of friendliness, despite large crowds. If you can squeeze your way to the counter, you’ll get served quickly.Pros: Great deals on drinks all the time, smoking lounge, dancing, diverse crowdCons: Gets super packed (and I mean PACKED!) on weekends during peak bar hours, doesn’t take ATM/Credit cards for tabs (but there is an ATM inside for withdrawls :-)Pros + Drink deals, dancing, smoking lounge, location (from my place)Cons – Parking looks hard, gets really packed during weekend peaks, can’t run a tab
Wanna go to New York with me tonight? Well let’s go to the Double Dutch then.Vice magazine meets San Francisco Bar. totally cool old school hip hop vibe.great bartenders too. a bunch of amazing music as well. Just as expected.Pros + decor is killer.Cons – feel like vice magazine character in magazine.
“How do you f*ck up Vodka/Cran? $6.50 on 1 dance floor and $7.50 on the other tells me that the bartenders are charging what they feel like charging and skimming “tips.” Spacious dance floors is another way of saying “everyone is across the street.” I’d be generous in saying this club is “typical.” This place exhibits symptoms of a bad club: Eminem impersonator’s, $10 drinks in plastic cups, 21y/o rookie drinkers with girlfriends who bought Exedrin thinking it was Ex and pretending to be Tila Tequila. Hint to the owner’s: the Buddha decor is sooo last year, Tao Vegas beat you to the point as well as a dozen or so Clubs in LA, NY, and all over Europe. And it pays to discriminate: kick the posse to the curb.Silver lining? Upper dance floor has high ceilings, music/spin is one of the best I’ve heard, you can get pre-sale tkts online, sometimes (save 2 bucks or so). Because they do let Vanilla Ice’s crew in the door, the me to hot chick ratio is improved (ha). Would I return? Maybe”
