Thursday night. Dj Trick is right on the mark. He played songs I havn’t heard 4-ever. If you ask him nice nice, he might play your fav song from the past. Drinks were great, and everyone I met was totally cool. Neat place inside, I was surprised that Alameda had it going on like that. I highly recomend that you check this place out on Thursday’s.Pros + Cool scene, Great DJ, Good ParkingCons – , Little smokey

I went to Butta last Sunday for the first time. I had heard about the monthly event but hadn’t attended. A friend was visiting from Portland and we decided to check this event out. It was off the hook. The first thing you notice is all the beautiful women of color and not just the kiddies. All ages are represented. The place is crowded but you don’t get the crowded feeling. You can hang out on the dance floor which is always full. The music is consistently good. You can lounge on the spacious patio or grab a table inside. There’s ample room for everyone. If you like African food, you have to dine in their restaurant. I recommend the fish with rice. I’ll be going back next month for sure…Pros + the beautiful women of colorCons – none I could see…

I have been to Ashkenaz a few times and it is a great place. I go to a lot of venues and this one is very fun. They have a lot of good bands and it is a nice environment.

Located in a nice area. Friendly and fast bartenders. Nicely decorated venue. Great music! I went on friday, two live bands performed. One of the things I like about this place is that it’s very diverse. You’ll see anyone from 21 and over to 40, different races, and everyone is just there to enjoy themselves. Don’t get me wrong, you may run into a few drunk weirdos who are persistent with talking/dancing with you. That’s probably the only thing. But otherwise, I recommend this place to anyone who wants to dance, drink, and meet laid back folks from all walks of life. The dress code isn’t strict either, I wore a nice top and jeans. oh, and don’t park in the parking garage, unless you plan to leave before 2am, the garage closes and your car will be locked in!Pros + Great Music, Atmosphere, Diverse crowdCons – Hard to find parking!, drunk pervs on friday
