I went to a recent show of Andrew?s and emailed him afterwards saying we had a great time through the email correspondence I discovered Santos? was open. A friend and I decided to have a joint birthday there. The event planner was very helpful and informative answering all of our questions. We sent over our guest list on Friday for the party on Saturday night. It was free before 11 and just a $5 cover for the DJ’s after with no dress code. None of our guests had any difficulty in getting in; the staff was very relaxed except for a no photography rule, which was in place to retain the atmosphere I was told, but still a bit annoying. The space is wide open room with 2 small seating areas and a moderate sized bar. It smelled a bit like paint still only being open for a week or so. The sound system was as advertised sounded very good and the music was dance/electronic and a good time. Drinks are in the $8 neighborhood, expensive but not bad when compared to any other club venue

If you’re lucky enough to make it past the unmarked door and down the purple velvet steps, what you experience in RdV is luxury and exclusivity at its best. This hidden lounge is filled with the most beautiful people…I even saw a few celebs! The Old Hollywood vibe made me feel like I was a celebrity myself. In addition, the drinks were phenomenal. I tried one called the Miss Liberty that was made with a hibiscus flower (it was tasty AND strong!) 5 stars for sure!Pros + amazing ambiance, great drinks, attractive crowdCons – Don’t even try if you’re not beautiful and wealthy.

The last time I went to Savalas on a weekend, the crowd was cool, the DJ was great the PBR was… $4!?! Needless to say I suffered a little bit of sticker shock, but I paid my $4 and went out for a smoke. Outside I realized I had missed that for a dollar more I could get a shot of whiskey with my PBR. I went back in and after little coaxing, the bartender happily gave me the forgotten whiskey shot for a buck. I have since been back during the week when PBR is sold for a more reasonable $3 and a couple of their pints are only $2 all night. Oh, and ask the bartender what a ‘pickle back’ is. She’ll probably do one with you.Pros + cheap weekday drinks, great DJs, dancing, outdoor patio, nice staffCons – loud, packed, hot
