Where are the Best DJs in Chicago, Illinois?
Young kids think this is a club. I remember the glory days of Shelter in Chicago – that was a club! Sound Bar has a nice design but it costs way too much for a bunch of wannabe 21 year old model types who wear jeans too tight – go to Capitol Club on Milwaukee if you want Euro-dance or hit up RedNoFive on Halsted for House music. Punk and metal? check out the EXIT on North Avenue or The Mutiny on Western Ave.
I have been going to the Funky Buddha for about 4 months now. I must admit that if it wasnt for the security at the door making everyone in line feel comfortable and safe due to the line being long. I would have turned around and gone somewhere else. I think the gentlemans name was Bass. He was very very professional with making sure that the line moved swiftly and safely. I was very impressed with how well he handled the people in the VIP line. No matter what day of week I go. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The music is always BLAZING HOT!!! Fundky Buddha lounge is the place to be for a night out on the town!!! My personal opinion, The door staff is the first impression of a nightclub…..Funky Buddha’s door staff is the BOMB!!! Pros + Front door staffCons – dance floor too small
SPIN offers someone for everyone. The widest variety of people in Boystown is at Spin.Good rooms (large-ish), the front noisy bar with pool, and the less frantic (though not quiet) back room(s), with couches & chairs, and good people watching on the dance floor. And of course, the Friday night shower contests are always great fun. Don’t go here for fancy drinks; go to see something you haven’t seen before. It’s one of the most girl-friendly Boystown bars, too. Very diverse crowd, even for Boystown.Pros + Varied crowd, Inexpensive, Crowded + comfortableCons – Can be youngish, No Parking
I remember the days that I used to go out in Chicago… the hot guys, the track pants, the MUSIC. Unfortunately, that’s all I can do is remember. Circuit, open for more than a few years now, seems to have never listened to it’s clientele about how much it sucks. And the only reason to go there is ’cause there’s NOTHING else. Spin: teens. Roscoe’s: small/crowded. Sidetracks: no dancing. Felt: stand & model. CellBlock: GREAT music, guys are too intense though. Isn’t there a quality dance club for the average gay guy in CHICAGO? One of the largest cities in the USA?!?Pros + Staff (GREAT!)Cons – Atmosphere, BATHROOMS, Crowd (sleazy)
