I have been there only 4 years but the family like atmosphere with other dance familes is what keeps me coming back and staying. My children feel so supported not only by the great staff, but also from other families. Everyone gets along wonderfully and my kids have more friends here than in school. It is a true bond that they have developed that I don’t see anywhere else. The instruction of dance far exceeds my expectations and my children cannot wait until they can go again the next day. It is a studio that strives to encourage the kids in a positive way to excel and builds such self esteem that I have not had in other areas of children’s activities. I highly recommend other parents to involve their children in this quality development studio that builds character, promotes healthy lifestyles, superb fitness and top notch dance instruction.

I am new to Charlotte and tried this salon twice so far. Once for color – loved it. And another for a cut – loved that too! I received comments on my hair immediately afterwards by strangers on the street. I must agree, however, about the front desk. The first time I walked in, I almost walked right back out. The front desk was scowling and unfriendly and I really got this snobbish feeling from them. They barely spoke, really didn’t smile, and I don’t believe they even said thank you. The owner or manager (not sure which one he was) was very pleasant and friendly though. The front desk kind of ruins the whole pleasant, spa-like experience. They are the first ones and the last ones you see so it kind of strips away the great experience of the scalp massage, beauty treatment, hair style once you have to go past the front desk.Yeah, they try to push products on you, but so does everyone – even the people in the mall kiosks or the service staff in restaurants. I want you folks to know what a good dance instructor and fine person you have in Anik Laforest. Anik is a born teacher and would probably be as good teaching math as dancing, although it would be a shame to put a blackboard in front of her rather than a dance floor. Here’s how good she is: I’m an old guy, see. I made a wishfull comment about tap dancing, without the slightest intention of doing what was necessary to take tap lessons. the, last week, swallowing one hell of a lot of pride, I walked into the Dance Bag to buy a pair of tap shoes! In the back corner of the store almost hidden by racks of women’s and children’s dance costumes was the shoe department – full of customers. the oldest was 4. Not being in tutu, I felt out of place. Thankfully, I was not in tutu. the very young sales person advised me that tap shoes came only in women’s sizes — another gulp. I got out with a 12 1/2.
