Where are the Best Chicken Wings in Austin, Texas?
My husband and I ate there with a couple of friends. I had the Tuna Melt (juicy and savory!) and hubby had a Double Flatty Burger (also excellent). The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. You can choose to eat in the dining room, which has the feel of a classic burger joint. Or you can go eat on the “Back Patio” which is a LARGE deck area with an assortment of tables and a HUGE bigscreen TV where they show sports games. If you eat out there, you can have your dog with you. They even have theme nights especially for people and their dogs. I wish I could eat there regularly, but I live too far away from Austin!Pros + excellent food, fun relaxed atmosphereCons – There are no Hubs close to where I live!
Plucker’s is an awesome place to watch the game! They have a ton of TV’s everywhere, it’s impossible to sit somewhere where you can’t see one. They have ample seating, and even more seating outside on their porch/deck with misting fans. They have awesome Fried Pickles and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. They got my order wrong once and went above and beyond to correct it. They even gave us our appetizer for free after correcting the problem! I highly recommend!Pros + Lots of TV’s Cons – ?
I’ve always loved any type of buffalo chicken with lots of bleu cheese, so Pluckers is a favorite of mine. It’s kind of dive-ish, and every time I’ve been have had to wait at least ten minutes, but the bleu cheese and buffalo chicken tenders/wings/buffalo chicken sandwiches are worth it. We recently had Pluckers delivered, but they forgot to bring an extra side of bleu cheese and an order of french fries, and the french fries we did get were soggy because they were packed in the same styrofoam container as the buffalo chicken fingers. I probably won’t order delivery again…next time I’ll dine in or pick up and save the $3 delivery charge and tip for the driver. Don’t go on trivia night unless you want to listen to the highly obnoxious trivia guy who wanders around the place and shouts into the microphone while getting drunk on the beer he totes and swearing at the people who heckle him.Pros + bleu cheeseCons – obnoxious trivia guy
