Where are the Best Cheap Eats in Seattle, Washington?
What do you expect for $1.99??? This place is perfect for a fast lunch. Order a side of rice – ditch the beans – with a dollop of salsa, add a fish taco (yes, I know it’s a fish stick!)and you have a nice little lunch. Do NOT go here if you want great Mexican food. In fact, don’t go anyplace in Seattle. There isn’t any good Mex here unless you are at my table!Pros + speedy service, prices, nice folksCons – fish sticks, runny beans, stale cookies
First of all for all the critics of getting good service at any 24 hour joint in city…SHUT IT!! If you came to this place to eat then expect to be there a little bit. You have a cafe with a staff that is open 24 hours a day and putting up with a different variety of customers on all levels. I have been to the 5 point on numerous occasions and my experience there was GREAT…..because I came there for one purpose…to eat some comfort food! I wasn’t expecting the best service at all…even the best food….but when I want to enjoy a belly filling meal…that is the place to go.I gave a rating of 4/5 because I do enjoy great service….but this is not the reason why I go to the 5 point. I go cause if I want to eat a big breakfast anytime of the day they have the best meal for your buck! If you want posh service go eat at Salties on Alki!! Get over the service there people….its not there to comfort your feelings!Pros + Great hangover and comfort food in Belltown areaCons
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! GOOD GOOD GOOD! The burgers taste like they’re homemade! They’re firm and griddled well, not like the pasty commercial patties you get at drive thru’s. Fries are soft, but tasty, and don’t think about sharing – you’ll regret it! Seating is always available – in your car! Otherwise, it’s standing room only in the great concrete outdoors.Pros + cheap. yummy. ’nuff said.Cons – didn’t see any law breakers…
A great spot for Pho, but for the discriminating new to the I District traveler…I wouldn’t call it spotless…at least as far as far as things like the ladies room go. But for the adventurous, it’s got great Pho! There’s a photo menu and you can start with something as straightforward as Steak Pho (thin silced steak) in a great meat broth with rice noodles. It comes with a side of bean sprouts, a sprig of basil, and a wedge of lime. If there’s two of you. plan to share it. You can also get minced fresh cilantro if you ask…for free! Starter big bowls are just under $5. Not much on atmosphere, but everyone is served quickly and the food is fresh and good. Be prepared to ask for refills on water and skip the no-meat pho, it tastes like pho bullion!Pros + good parking, reasonably priced, identifiable meatCons – bad bathrooms
Absolutely CRAZY about this place. After hearing so many praises and “you have to try ballet” I decided to make a quick stop in for lunch. Not only was the service quick, attentive, and friendly but the the food was also tasteful and very very fulfilling. One thing was for sure, there was not one inch of blandness in my dishes, you definitely have to come for their delicious curry, and homemade pho (vegetarian or beef). I ejoyed it so much I came back for dinner that same day, with some friends! One things for sure this is one place I wont stop dining at, not even for the ave
