Where are the Best Cheap Eats in San Antonio, Texas?

While visisting San Antonio in July we were told to try Bill Miller’s because they had the best BBQ. After agreeing to have lunch there I would have to disagree. Cheap? Yeah, but that’s because you don’t get a lot for a serving. Also, it has no taste. It’s very bland. I wouldn’t recommend.

The food is pretty good, but it’s fast food. One can do just as well at a TexMex restaurant.Cons – Lines are too long

Really cute little place tucked away by La Foccacia in Southtown. Perfectly cool inside and laidback. The bagels are great and the coffee is spectacular. Good beans make a difference!Pros + Great cup of Java!Cons – none

Habanero’s Grill is by FAR my favorite laid-back place to meet friends and have some amazing food in all of San Antonio. I have never once been disappointed by quality, service, or atmosphere; and I am more then confident that everyone who walks through their doors will sing their praises as well. — The food is spectacular- from their signature oversized, “peel as you eat” burritos to my fiancee’s favorite, the fajita nachos, everything is incredibly delicious- not to mention well-priced. You won’t find any overpriced plates of food in this joint- Habanero’s Grill is entirely too hip to cater to that scene! — And speaking of hip, if you arrive on the right night, you’ve got a chance to be serenaded by local artists strumming it up or tearin’ it down. So you could be in for a real treat if you happen by on the right night! — So as long as you’re looking for wonderful food that’ll leave you wanting more- an amazing place to hang with friends, coworkers, or family- somewhere where

I was in town for business and a Riverwalk information ranger told us about Rudy’s. It was easy to find, but a few miles from the RIverwalk.By far, everything we had was the best I have had in my 55 years of travel. The brisket was moist and tender. The chopped mixture was wonderful. Just remember that the chopped is a mixture of chicken, beef and pork. The peach cobbler and creamed corn was better than home cooked. The meat is ordered by the pound not by a plate. They even give samples as you are orderingNow, I want to go to San Antonio just to get Rudy’s BBQ.Pros + Just great BBQCons – Outdoor picnic tables are just fine
