We’re regulars on Thursday nights. From 8:30-9:30 ALL beers are just a buck, and then after 9:30 all of the domestics (Bud, Coors, Etc.) are STILL just a buck! If you’re into mixed drinks, try the Hurricane or the Elizabeth. They have cute, friendly waitresses, and REALLY good food. My favorite is the Mexican-style food, and my friends rave about the $1.99 breakfast, served all the time. Thursdays are definately very crowded, but squeezing past someone every 5 sec. is a great way to meet people (ladies, there are more guys than girls at this bar)! The age range of Cheerful-goers varies, and so does the style of people, which keeps things interesting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! if you like real thai food, you should try this restaurant. It’s a little hard to find, but that’s where the good food is. I’ve been going to this restaurant for atleast 3 times a week, good service,good food, and everything else. the flatbread, yes! the rice, yes! the chicken, yes! i love this place. has kind of an unusual odor that i can’t quite place, and it’s always, ALWAYS elbow to elbow at the tables, but that only speaks for the quality of the food. people love it!

It was hard at first to decide on a Recommended rating for Pastini. Then I realized I would only be docking them points because they’re a chain restaurant, a tireless machine of pasta slinging bliss. Yet, they accomplish their mission with deft organization, varied dishes, and most of all low prices. My wife got a shrimp dish and I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. The latter of which is a white sauce with peas, peppers, and bacon. This is where their value is, even though it was between 8 and 9 dollars for each of our plates they were hearty portions. Not just a plate full of pasta, I had a succulent mound of bacon with my creamy noodles. I ate every last bite so completely that the dish washer must have been beside himself pondering whether or not the plate had been used. The only fault on Pastini’s part tonight was being a chain, they do seem to cater to the standard American palate. Entrees and salads are flavorful but devoid of any kind of spice. My wife a I were recommended to this place by a couple of friends, so we went over on a Tuesday to try it out. We had their famous biscuits & gravy, a BLT (with avocado), manhattan clam chowder, a side of bacon and a chocolate chip cookie (I know we ordered a little weird). The chowder was pretty solid, nothing spectacular, just good. The bacon was pretty solid, too, I like that it came a little crispy. But the BLT was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the biscuits and gravy we’re truly the best I’ve ever had in this city. The sausage gravy was of the perfect consistency (not too runny but smooth and flowing). They make their own sweet potato infused biscuits, and then to top it all off they serve it with paper-thinly shaved roast pork loin, and not just a couple of slices, there was plenty (about 10-12).
