Where are the Best Cheap Eats in Oakland, California?
Love.. Love.. Love! Totally in love with this restaurant. Where should i begin? First, the price is unbeatable. Second, the food is extremely delicious (some of my favorite are Caterpillar & Rainbow Roll, Nabeyaki & Teriyaki Udon, Salmon Bento). Last, great service & lovely atmosphere. I never been to other lunch spot in downtown who offer better customer service with a beautiful small garden right in front . My company always order catering from them since 2 years ago and never face any disapointment at all. I’m highly recomment this restaurant.Pros + Great Value for Affordable Price & Food Quality. Beautiful Ambiance & Great Service.Cons – During busy hour, you might have to wait in line to order ( I never wait more than 5 minutes, it goes very quick). But it is totally worth it.
Chicago can officially take a hike. You’ve been outdone. There’s no shame in that. You’re pizza is good, but Zachary’s is amazing. How do they do it? Is it because they’re 100% employee owned? Is it because they sprinkle magic deliciousness into the sauce? I don’t know, and more importantly, I don’t care. Just keep the Spinach and Mushroom stuffed pizza coming my way. Don’t like Spinach and mushroom? At age six I wouldn’t eat a mushroom dipped in nacho cheese, but I would down this stuff like nobody’s business. This is one of those places were you probably never change your order, because it’s just too good to experiment with. If the pizza itself wasn’t enough to convince yourself, just take a look around the walls at the non-stop reviewers singing its praise. I made the long trek to Emeryville to buy some Guns N Roses tickets from a guy off craigslist. I know GNR is without Slash but I never got to see them back in the day. It was either now or never and I was getting a good deal on these floor tickets. I arrived early and figured I would squeeze a lunch before the ticket deal went down. Asqew Grill has been on my personal list for some time now and it was my luck they had one at the mall. They open at 11 and I was probably the 2nd customer of the afternoon. Yes, it appears to be chain but as of right now, it’s a bay area chain which is fine in my books. I doubt this is a mom and pop operation as it’s apparent there’s some serious dough backing this place. Everything is new, nice, clean, and modern, all the touches of venture capitalists just eager to earn more money. Blondies is a good restaurant for students on the go. If you need food fast you can just drop by and buy a slice of pepperoni or cheese. They have it ready and give it to you immediately. Ordering a combo slice or specialty slice may involve a small wait. It is also very convinient how their prices factor in taxes so you get clean change. I always love places that dont give you pennies and nickels but instead quarters only.Anyways the pizza here is also pretty tasty. It is always hot and fresh tasting even though it comes quickly. The slices are fairly large although it wont fill up big eaters. Ive had better pizza but it is still very good and when it comes to Blondies that isnt the point.fattius sez go to blondies if you need food fast such as right before a midterm and you realize you forgot to eat
