Where are the Best Cheap Eats in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
Well-lit, not a lot of seating inside during the winter months, but with their patio and outside seating it would be a great place for a summer sandwich or hot-dog. Any place that can still get by on Cash-Only you simply know has to make great food. It was super clean and the staff was very helpful and overly friendly. Menu items consisted of Chicago Style hot dogs (w. all the fixins), pizza, and of course, the Italian Beef sandwich (get it w/ sweet and hot peppers, mozzarella) They do not ask whether you like it dipped or not dipped, you are gettin it dipped!! The memorabilia all over the walls gives you the feeling youll hear Mike Ditka and Jim McMahon arguing about how they got beat by the Dolphins back in 85. One can talk about Joey Ds, but really, one must experience it.Pros + Ambiance, Food, StaffCons – Perception, Limited Seating, Cash Only
I have been going to Quang maybe twice a week for the past 12 years. Every time I go in there I get the same great food. The service is not the best, but this is not the kind of place that you expect great service. Who needs great service when you food is out in five minutes. I will continue to go to Quang for the next 30 years and I hope the food stays the same the whole time. Pros + Same great quality every timeCons – not the best service

We were seated promptly with plenty of smiles and exceptionally friendly service. Our water glasses were never empty, we were waited on by an attentive waitress, and they humored our indecisiveness. The samosas we ordered seemed fresh, the crust had just the right amount of salt, and the filling was tasty. The Tandoori Chicken was the best I’ve had in the Twin Cities, hands down, and the Chicken Tikka was nicely spiced. However, the masalas and curries left something to be desired on every count. The cream based dishes (malai kofta, chicken tikka masala) were all too sweet for my liking, and lacked any real kick of savory spices. The saag was sub-par…and we Punjabis know our saag. The kebab we had in the Tandoori platter (I couldn’t tell what kind it was) didn’t really taste Indian at all, almost l
