Where are the Best Cheap Eats in Las Vegas, Nevada?
Just to start off I have not personally been to Skyline Restaurant & Casino. The reason for my review today is because I recommend it to my parents. You see my parents were driving from Arizona to San Francisco to visit me they gave me a call and informed me that they wanted to stay in Vegas for a night. Knowing that Vegas can be some what complicated to navigate and a hard place to make choices I offered to find them some inexpensive dinner and hotel recommendations since I was in front of my computer. I went on a limb and Trusted some reviews I read online; Mainly Excellent Prime Rib Dinner for $10.00 and that the place was very clean and hospitable. They trusted my advice and decided on dinner at Skyline.I called them the next morning and asked them how it was. They told me that they were blown away at how good the food and service was. They said the casino it self had probably seen better days but that it was clean and respectable place. My mother went as far to say that
We dined at the bar enjoying both the burgers and the Olympics. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe beef burger and I had the Black Angus burger. My boyfriend added all sorts of toppings such as cheese, potobello mushrooms, grilled onions, etc. while I kept things simple with some avocado. Both of our burgers were cooked perfectly (we like ours medium-rare) and were super thick, moist, and tender though the patties themselves were a bit bland. Brian at the bar was a great server. Even though I was delighted to see “fat fries” on the menu, which were great, we were surprised that we would have to pay 3 bucks or more extra for fries that usually come with burgers at other restaurants. In the restaurant’s defense, however, the burgers are hearty and big enough to be a meal by themselves. We returned twice during our stay in LV and only altered our burger orders slightly the second time. Pros + Awesome, amped-up custom burgersCons – Super busy during lunch hour
I have been eating at this place for over 10 years and they have NEVER not once let me down my wife and i go in there at least once every 2 weeks, Great omelettes and service and the pumplin bread is the best i have ever had great prices and good service very “hole in the wall” type feeling very small and family run the location at Lakemead and Rampart has closed which made me unhappy because that one was very close to my house but we still make the trip down there every couple weeks. I would recommend it to anyone just make sure to be hungry Pros + Great food good portions good prices Cons – service will get a little slow if they are packed
This has got to be one of the better diners in the Las Vegas where the food is delicious, the prices are solid, and the service has been decent. There is a good view of the casino from this area and the funky decor compliments the overall theme of the Hard Rock. Definitely worth heading out to if you happen to be at the Hard Rock.Pros + Inexpensive, Great Food, ServiceCons – Popular, Crowded
