Where are the Best Cheap Eats in Atlanta, Georgia?
I loved this place. We sat in there for two hours after a long day of shopping and walking through downtown Atlanta. We ate so much that we did not want anything else to eat before getting on Marta to attend the Braves Game.I loved the atmosphere in the Hard Rock Cafe because it could be dressly or casual. The kids had a great time just walking around and looking at all the decor in the Cafe. We tried several different appetizers and the food was great. I loved the music and my husband and I just enjoyed relaxing in the cafe without having to worry about the kids walking around and looking. And, of course, my daughter could not leave there without getting a T-Shirt.It was a great experience and I want to go back there again when we go to the Big City. They do not have cafe’s like that where we live. As a matter of fact, in our small town we don’t have a cafe’s at all. It was a great dining experience and something we will remember forever!
This is my top choice for dining in Atlanta. I think my poor boyfriend is getting tired of me dragging him there lol. The pasta is absolutely fantastic — fresh, delicious. The different sauces are wonderful. My favorites are checca, pomodoro, and pollo. I have tried many of the appetizers love them all — the cantaloupe with prosciutto, the bruschetta, and the caprese salad are the best. Figo is primarily known for its various raviolis, which I agree are wonderful. But don’t avoid the “ordinary” pastas like linguini or penne — they’re fantastic too. The prices are low. Service is average — you order at the counter, then seat yourself. Afterward your server will stop by with your drink order and then food. I’ve been to most of Figo’s locations and the food is consistently good, so I recommend them all. If you go to the VaHi location, Paulo’s gelato store is next door. As for cons, well, I really can’t think of any, except that your meal tends to be quick, so if you want a long, leisu
Great place for a date! The food was really quite tasty and such an active unique idea for a dinner or meal. Quick tip: when reading a review consider what kind of person you are. Yes this place was louder, a little hurried, hip, and slighty cramp, but if you’re looking for a good time and a quiet intimate dinner is NOT what you’re going for then this is it! The food line appears long but it disappears quick. There is a huge menu and ingredients list to look at; you’re surprised how quick it moves. The service was fantastic! The cooks even cooked mine in a seperate wok with water instead of oil. I will say the bar area was weak. We visited on a wed. night and it was crowded with a short wait (can’t imagine a fri. or sat. night!), so the small bar area wasn’t exactly ideal. The area wasn’t the best, but it is close to Atlantic Station. All in all very good, the manager even stopped and chatted at the end of our visit, which is rare these days. Definite repeat customers!Pros
“Good barbeque” is a subjective concept, of course, but, for me, Maddy?s has the right idea. Reasonable prices. The barbeque itself is neither too dry, nor too soupy, and the sauce is savory with more heat than sweet. I?m a creature of habit with barbeque, so I haven’t tried a lot of their menu, but I can highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. (If you aren’t a pork fan, they do a chicken version that is quite nice too.) If you like garlic, you can?t miss the potato salad, which is a garlic-y delight. I also pony up the 25 cents for extra sauce, as I?ve discovered that dipping a bit of potato salad in it just takes it to a whole ‘nother level. The killer beer specials, free soda refills, and hip and friendly staff are the icing on the Maddy’s cake. One or two caveats, (but nothing that should prevent you patronizing this fine establishment). Parking is really really bad. The lot is small, and seems to have suffered earthquake damage. The dining area is intimate and they have live
