I’ve eatin at Maggie’s quite a few times as it was near my hotel home for about 6 months. For quite some time, I continued to go to Maggie’s with hopes of getting a good meal. After probably 10 visits, I finally gave up and refuse to eat here. I mainly focused on their fish meals, which always sounded good, but were almost always pretty bad. The tuna, was consistently cooked Well-done, even after asking them to be cooked medium rare. I described one meal and fish with popcorn seasoning, tasted aweful.

All right people, let’s get things straight; Bon Air is a dive (but in the good sense). Why people complain about it being crowded, too loud, and the servers “swarming” around you is beyond me. First of all, it’s not Tony’s in STL (although I can’t complain about having someone hover around you asking if you’re ready for a refill). How many times have you had to wait to get your drinks (yes, alcohol) refilled and it’s taken a long time. Second, it is ALWAYS crowded – deal with it. This is part of what makes Bon Air unique, it’s packed nearly the entire time it’s open. Don’t go to Bon Air if you don’t want to compete for a table. I’ve been going there for years and after awhile you get pretty good at finding them. The place can get loud, so don’t count on having a “conversation.” Instead, order a cold draft, place an order for some food, and enjoy yourself. This place is without a doubt the best bar to have a group of friends meet up or a group function. Their brats are great

The new owners have taken this great local Chesterfield/Creve Coeur bar and grill and improved the food and fun. We love the new food – not your typical bar food. The pulled pork and steaks are all great. They even have a llittle wine list with reasonable prices. They also have live music and lots of food and drink specials – oh and yes lots of TV’s for the guys. My kids also love the pizza.Pros + Food and serviceCons – It can get smokey late at night

Chicken fried chicken!? Isn’t that redudant? That’s what I thought too, but their chicken fried chicken, smothered in gravy, is simply heavenly. It’s a small bar, but very very cozy, and you can’t help but relax once you’ve settled in.

I have eaten at Johnny’s several times and have yet to be dissappointed in the quality. The chicken wings are the BEST in town, hands down. Steaks are good and reasonably priced. The servers are usually very attractive and dressed to seduce, but unfortunately this means that most of the clientele are lonely men looking for eye candy.
