Where are the Best Bartenders in San Francisco, California?

This bar is cool since it’s right down the street from where I stay. They have a smoking lounge (says it’s a patio, but actually indoors, which is nice) for smokers like me… They have a great happy hour, and 4 for $10 Jello Shots 24/7! Can’t beat that! There’s also dancing with a pretty big floor (for this part of town) but it gets packed on the weekends. The bartenders serve quickly and with lots of friendliness, despite large crowds. If you can squeeze your way to the counter, you’ll get served quickly.Pros: Great deals on drinks all the time, smoking lounge, dancing, diverse crowdCons: Gets super packed (and I mean PACKED!) on weekends during peak bar hours, doesn’t take ATM/Credit cards for tabs (but there is an ATM inside for withdrawls :-)Pros + Drink deals, dancing, smoking lounge, location (from my place)Cons – Parking looks hard, gets really packed during weekend peaks, can’t run a tab

Atmosphere is lovely, classy-relaxed; bartenders are super-friendly and informed. The space is spare but lovingly decorated and well-suited to the intimacy that alcohol encourages. A great place to spend a couple hours with really good friends. Drinks are suprising and delicious. Owner is a smart, mega-charming, outgoing hipster hottie which is just what one wants, isn’t it.

Now I understand why Soluna is still in business. If McDonald’s had mixed drinks, moroccan lanterns and beat blender on the radio, I imagine Jardiniere would spin some overflow there too. It’s a killer room, but if you’re there within three hours of curtain at the opera, ballet, symphony or civic auditorium, expect a large crowd and a maddening din. The tasting menu was very good. The wine pairings were chosen well. The risotto was excellent, as was the duck breast. Once the show crowd bailed, it actually turned into a very nice meal. Avoid the show crowd and all should be well. The port flights are a must try. I recommend the tawnys over the vintage. The service was excellent. Pricing is on par with Mina and Danko, but it might be argued the menu concedes to the tyranny of their regulars such that the experience doesn’t keep pace.

My favorite bar hands down for a variety of reasons. Dress up or dress down – it’s all good as the mix of hip, casual, and eclectic patrons are usually grooving to dj beats. The Happy Hour drink prices are a bargain, and serviced by a friendly, attentive, and attractive staff! Can get crowded at times late at night which makes it a little tough to maneuver in narrow rectangular space. However, if you’re on one of the couches, you’re set.

I’m a gay, high end, professional businessman from Las Vegas, and I’ve been coming to the Lion Pub for about ten years, every time I’m in the City. I certainly regret that the gay character (mostly gay, professional males who live in the area) has beem deminished over the recent years, but at the same time, I’m fascinated to see this “discovery” of a great bar by the apparently straight, female professional class (and there boyfriends), as if it was all something brand new. The Lion Pub was a great bar ten years ago, and I’m sure will remain so (under present ownership) for many years to come. It’s fun to hear the Ladies rave about fresh ingredients (ambience, etc.), when many bars have been using fresh lemons, limes & pineapples for an awfully long time. Gee, Gals, you really do need to get out more. Fortunately for the Pub, the Ladies are so together & professional that they would never think to stay in a bar beyoud nine o’clock, thus giving room for the decadent fellas. I’ve li
