Where are the Best Bartenders in Orange County, California?
In reading these reviews, it seems many rate the experience on “1” specific occurance. As an objective person, here are the facts: I am 41(but never guess that) , family, professional, great shape, and luckily above average looks & dance skills. My wife and I visit this Location 2-3 times annually.–1st, arrive early (930ish) because it gets crowded at the blink of an eye. its nice to have a table to relax during the evening. NO COVER is a nice “un-O.C.” way to begin the evening. The D.J. plays a wide range of music (Classic Rock, Hip Hop, R&B), but the dance floor is only average in size. The floor does get packed but NOT unbearable. The Service and Drinks are always above Average. There is a nice out-door area (large), and 2 pool tables inside the Bar, adjacent to the Dance Floor. There is a large mix of people that visit this establishment. As a result there might be a handful of people “YOU” would not associate with. If you are the OC-Judgemental Type, then you might be happier goi
What can I say about this place other than it has Pro?s and a lot of Cons to match? I? ve been here way too often. If you are a struggling college student in the O.C. area Rockin taco is the place for you. Cheap drinks! No cover charge! and the line usually moves quick if you?re a pretty lady. You can literally have a blast at Taco for 20.00. Cons its way too effn hot. There is literally no room so good luck with transporting your cheap drink around the ?club? without spilling half of it on someone. There really isn?t a dance floor and what?s considered the dance floor triples as make shift dj booth and bottle service Vip tables. I don?t get it why have a dj if there is nowhere to dance. The place is walk way with lil nook and crannies you may be able to stand in, IF the security guards don?t come with their trusty flash light and YELL keep it moving.. Keep it moving to where is the question???? Hmm idk if you just wanna get drunk with peeps for cheep and hear music this is for you.. I
We checked in at the Hyatt Newport and asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant and without hesitation he said “Oysters”. So we had him make us a reservation. We showed up about 30 minutes early and thought we would have a drink at the bar. The maitre d’ said he could seat us right away if we wanted, so we took him up on his offer. We started off with the Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll which was incredible. Then we had the Kung Pao Calamari. This is one of the best dishes I have ever had, the calamari was tender, sweet, spicy, fabulous!!!! The entrees were just as incredible. I had the Halibut with shrimp risotto and my wife had the white sea bass with creamy mashed potatoes abottle of Hitching Post Pinot Noir to go with it and i’m talking culinary heaven. Our server was top notch, pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, a real pleasure. After the meal the comped us after dinner drinks, a Tuaca for me and an Amaretto for my wife.
