Where are the Best Bartenders in New York, New York?

Hmmh !. I had the pleasure of an evening here recently and although it wasn’t my first time here it was by far the best. A knockout social event without a doubt., this bar caught my attention because of the great beer selection but last week I met and mingled with some regulars who are also neighbors of mine ! and I was amazed at the interaction between staff and customers here. That’s what makes a good place great. Food is solid, drinks are resonably priced and I’d give this place an overall 10. Hopefully someday I’ll bump into grumpy pants that wrote the last review !. Pros + Neighborhood feel.Cons – Small and crowded.

This is one of the classier “dive” bars that I’ve been to in NYC. The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is clean, and the crowd tends to be non-pretentious. For whiskey lovers, the owners (really nice folks) make sure to stock the bar with excellent premium label bourbon, rye, single malt, and Irish whiskeys. But don’t let the name fool you…The Whiskey Ward has an excellent beer and wine selection and really tasty cocktails. The unlimited peanuts in the shell are also a nice touch. And of course, the bartenders are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I like this place so much that I visit at least weekly after work to play a round of pool and knock back a couple of rye whiskeys. But I also like swinging by for a few drinks when I go bar hopping.Pros + Great liquor, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphereCons – More

Looking for cold beer and hot wings? Then this is your place. Atomic Wings… aka Down the Hatch has some of the best wings that I have come across. The restaurant/bar is small and gets extremely crowded for sporting events but what are you expecting. During football and basketball season you can eat all the wings with 2 pitchers of beer each Saturday for only $20. Good bargain.Pros + Great wings, Cold Beer, SportsCons – Crowded, Tough getting a table

Thats it! No more Mr. Nice Guy. I’m sick and tired of any moron having the ability to take shots at me and post it online without me firing back or setting the record straight. I am a doorman at a very popular NYC lounge and I can’t stay quiet anymore. For you overgrown babies, the gloves are off. You know who you are. You’re the ones that when I can’t let you in, you become a cranky two year old with diaper rash. What’s up with that? Why do you take it so personal? Why would I make it personal? I don’t even know you. And from the attitude, I’m glad I don’t. if I can’t let you in, I CAN’T let you in. It has nothing to do with you. If you think it does, maybe you should use your time to work on your self-esteem then to go online to complain and trash others. So thats it. I have decided to give a voice to all the doormen in NYC. For all the doormen that have to bite their lips and just smile at the multitude of asses that pass through their doors or that don’t pass through. Don’t get me

When I read about Apotheke, it seemed the perfect place to celebrate my 31st birthday. However, It was like being at a (very well) themed Frat Party, with beakers and mustaches instead of togas. Perhaps in my lust to codify some fantastical realm of 19th century Vienna and Nicole-Kidman-Absinthe-Fairies I set my hopes too high. In fact, no bar can hold a flame to genius like Aleister Crowley, especially once sed bar is written up in the New York Times. Let me begin by saying what is GOOD about Apotheke:1. The Location 2. The Drinks 3. The Bartenders 4. The Decor, Charming if not a bit inauthentic at times, (*note the molding above the bar) 5. The Owner (that I met), friendly and helpful. The problem with Apotheke is the CROWD, plain and simple. They gave the feel of being at a BU or UCONN house party. I expected to arrive at extremely ?cool? place with unbearable hipsters, or even StarF*@kers, and while slightly relieved that this place was not as pretentious as Freemans or La E
