This place can have an odd feel, depending on the crowd, and the prices are high, so don’t be surprised, but it’s a decent place to hang out…

I’ve heard mixed thing about here, mostly great cocktails and rude service. Personally I found the cocktails to be great… as well as the service. The caiparinah was tasty even if the didn’t have my favorite cachcha and the fried oysters were a good snack. The Oysters had full flavor, the potato salad served with it was nice, but oddly there was no potato flavor, but the seasoning and cucumbers in there made up for it. it was busy but not to noisy to talk and there a nice view looking out over stuyvent.

Living on the Upper East Side has its privileges. One of them is being close to an outstanding bar/restaurant that is staffed by pros. I’ve enjoyed my experiences as a regular to this establishment since February. Super waitresses Marianna, Irina, Daria, and Claire are friendly and highly efficient at their craft delivering great beer, drinks, mouth-watering burger platters, spicy buffalo wings and other delicious treats to your table. Kelsey and Julia, two of the most capable AND pretty bartenders there, are also amiable and deliver the goods before you with a genuine smile. I was there on a Wednesday night. The place was not crowded at all, just a couple groups of people having a great day. Mostly couples. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and it showed in all the people totally letting go and having fun. The bartender was very nice and responded well to me asking her to make anything she wanted. I hate when bartenders give you blank looks when you don’t spell out exactly what you want. This girl was great though! The music they played was good, not too loud or obtrusive. Although I ended up sitting on the comfy couches in the corner which happened to be right underneath a speaker. This was a little annoying but no worse than any other loud bar. The drinks were very good and not too pricey. I heard they had a fireplace, and I thought it was funny to see a working fireplace, only with 3 lit candles resting peacefully in it. I can’t wait to go back on a weekend when It’s more hopping. Midnight on Wednesday isn’t prime party time. Which made this the pe
