Where are the Best Bartenders in Detroit, Michigan?
I absolutely love this place! THe house dresing on the antipasto is amazing! The portions are giant and the deep dish pizza is to die for. The place is small but what it lacks in square footage it makes up for in taste, portion, speed and friendliness. This is the kind of place you could bring your four crazy three year olds and make it out in one piece. The service is friendly, quick and observant. I never once had to ask for a refill on my beverage, the server just brought another one over.The food was hot, fresh and heaven on a plate. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I’m sure they would thank me for it. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and always a wild crowd. There are definately fancier places in Detroit, but none can meet the atmosphere of the Post Bar. One good story was a took a buddy from Mexico there, and when we walked in he was scared. He was in downtown Detroit and in a bar that is covered in graffiti from the patrons. With the music, staff, and atmosphere he had a great time. The staff made him have a great time. Pros + friendly crowd
you come for the history and stay for the atmosphere!! this little gem has been around for almost one hundred years (built in 1910 approximately) and is still run by the same family. Manya and Eric (grandmother and grandson)have kept a lot of the same old traditions and incorporated the new. you can play pool or darts (leagues for both), listen to a really good juke box while enjoying a beer and of course, watch most of the major sports events( red wings being the current favorite!!). they do have four televisions so don’t worry, you’ll probablly be able to watch your favorite!!Manya usually has something cooking in the pot like her secret receipe chili or tradition kielbasa and sauerkraut…and the best mango/peach salsa and chips around. they don’t have any beer on tap but they do have a great selection of bottled beers and a wide selection of liquors..you can even get a can of guinness or cider for you foreigners!!! trust me it’s worth a visit….
