Where are the Best Bartenders in Cincinnati, Ohio?
I have been going to Hap’s Irish Pub since the 1970’s Anyway it’s a blast to celebrate Saint Patricks Day at a place that’s true to Ireland. The Drinks are awesome don’t do what I did one year I asked for a German Beer and the entire Bar went silent… But I do love Guinness and Killians Red Beers cannot drink more than one. Get your spray tan from Gidget before Monday so tuesday you’ll be ready to visit the Irish Pubs… its fantastic how many old friends you’ll find at Hap’s Pros + Best place to celebrate Saint Patricks Day Cons – Parking kinda tough
O’Bryon’s suffers from the typical sports bar syndrome: lots of shouting at televisions and people tend to only interact with who they came with aside from “shared” editorials about whatever game is on T.V. However, its a nice bar, has a decent deck on the second floor, the service is excellent, and it is one of the few places in the city where you can get lunch with a beer on Sunday. More imporatntly, appetizers are half off between 4 and 7, Monday through Friday. This is important because O’Bryon’s hot garlic wings are some of the best in Cincinnati. Wings are one of the many vices that I take seriously, and I typically only order them from “professionals” (e.g. BW3, Wings and Rings, and Wild Mike’s), but O’Bryon’s are hot, un-breaded, meaty, fresh, and the garlic ones are covered in big flakes of garlic chips. Both food and beer are generally over-priced, but I highly recommend happy hour for a pitcher and wings.Pros + Happy HourCons – over-priced
Finding food after 10 in downtown Cincinnati can be tricky if it’s a weeknight and you don’t want to venture out to Clifton or Hyde Park. Fortunately, for bar fare, Madonna’s fits the bill pretty well. The menu features standard appetizers and a few sandwich selections. I had the catfish sandwich, which was fresh and moist and pretty tasty, and for about $7, a good deal for the location and time of night. The bartender was outgoing and friendly and set the tone of conversation for the five or six people around, and the service was prompt and attentive. The location is pretty well in the center of downtown, close to the Aronoff Center and downtown hotels; an especially good bet for late check-ins who haven’t eaten yet or are killing time. As far as drinks are concerned, the liquor looks pretty well stocked, but the beer is only bottles and no drafts; the prices look to be about what I would expect for a downtown bar, $2 domestics during special advertised times, e.g.Pros + Loca
Great Drinks, Great Prices. Shot Quantity is the best in Cincy. Ask the bartender for Extra Extra Grumpy lee or Grumpiesr Grumpy lee. Regarding food they sometimes have cookouts during summer. Other wise the besr best is to order a bag of peanuts with your drinks and just forget about the chips, as they are totally yuckky.
