Where are the Best Bartenders in Austin, Texas?

I went to Cedar Door with a large group of friends for a birthday. I’d been to Cedar Door a few years ago and was impressed by the wonderful service. Our server Nichole? was an absolute joy and was very helpful (definitely try the Mexican martinis). The bar was a little busy and crowded, but the atmosphere is great- very down to earth and fun, not at all pretentious like some places. The food was ok, but there are a lot more pro’s than con’s. Highly recommended for it’s charm and great crowd.!Pros + service, atmosphere, parking and Mexican martini’sCons – food menu could use more healthy items

Online reservations, great, but when I called to confirm I spoke with a very unfriendly, young male host. That should have tipped me off to the level of service I should expect. Bar service took too long, waiter took even longer. Drinks during dinner took far too long and several were just plain forgotten! The menu is deceiving, it looks like a delicious assortment but it’s all rather bland. The food is not fresh, it’s thawed. From the ceviche to the mango salsa I was consistenly disappointed. I’ve been to several South American restaurants and this one is by far the least impressive. It’s as if Chili’s opened up a Latin chain, making it overpriced for what it is. Good for a group because of the large space, and with good company you forget so much about the mediocrity of the food itself.Pros + Spacious, Decent Parking, Good for GroupsCons – Service, Value, Flavor

This is the place to go to just relax and hang out with some friends during HH or early on a weekend. The bartenders are all very cool, especially Bobby Cook! If you can make it during the week late-night, definitely get to know the other bartenders working ’cause it will be easier to be seen on those packed weekends if they recognize you. All of the patio staff, regardless of what day, are great. There is also a great mix of people here, from twinks to daddys, drag queens to flaming queens, butch to b*tch.Pros + Great drinks and musicCons – Like all things downtown, PARKING!!

I am new to this City Search thing, but me and the band passed through Austin on tour and I wanted to let other musicians and travelers who may not be familiar with Austin where to go eat and drink. The locals already flock to this place, but we were lucky enough to stumble (literally) upon it. The rest of 6th Street pretty much sacks, but this place is worth passing through to get to. In a nutshell: Big bar, cool velvet paintings, nice patio ( you have to smoke outside in Austin), TWO kitchens, hot and really nice bartenders, CHEAP drinks, fast service, tons of beers to choose from. Your money goes a long way here, and the Chipotle Bacon burger is not to be missed. I wish they did not have to close at 2am, but they told me they open everyday before noon, so I guess that is long enough. I will be back, and you should not miss this place when in Austin. FreddyPros + Coolest bar I found in Austin, fantastic foodCons – I don’t live in Austin

Molotov is bar far my favorite bar to go to when out-of-town friends are visiting Austin. It?s located on West Sixth and the rooftop is the perfect place to grab a drink, a table and have a great time. I like it here so much because you can actually sit with friends and hear what they are saying. By no means should you take this as Molotov being dull, it?s the opposite. If you?re looking for the perfect balance between music, people and conversation, Molotov Lounge is where it?s at. The bartenders are also some of the best in town as well!Pros + Rooftop bar, atmosphere, bartenders
