Where are the Best Antiques in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
This store alone has more than most places I’ve visited although the quality lacks in some of the booths. Prices are a bit high because Stillwater is a tourist trap and they hike up the prices on items. Unless you know the going rate for a piece, i would advise not buying in Stillwater. Unless you don’t mind paying a little more, go for it. There are some stores that have good prices, not all are expensive. You just have to look. All of Stillwater is a antique trap and there are many stores to go through. Plan on spending a day in Stillwater and wear good walking shoes. Parking is hard to find later in the day.Pros + large variety, many stores, decent findsCons – hard to find parking, can get crowded, can be expensive
I also love that the dresses are by waist size. I was able to find a dress for a formal occasion and it fit like it was made for me. (I had someone stop me at the event and say I looked like Aubrey Hepburn!) The dress I picked out was full length and all raw silk for under $100. This is less than alterations on other dressses. A great place if you are hard to fit or like colors and styles out of the ordinary. Oh, and the service was incredible, I was there when someone was picking out her wedding dress. We both got attention even though there was only one person there. LOVE THIS PLACE!Pros + service , selection, condition of itemsCons – need more casual item
