Where are the Best Accessories in Austin, Texas?
First off, I should admit that I work there (as of this writing). But I don’t think that means I can’t be objective. I have frequented other bead stores in Austin, after all (and sometimes still do, sshhhh!)So the pluses about Nomadic Notions: the service. We’re encouraged and expected to greet every customer and really give them personal assistance, whether it’s just helping ’em pick out beads and supplies, or walking them through the whole jewelry-making process. We’ve got a table with bead-trays and tools set up, so folks can walk in and make a piece right there. They can even bring in their own beads and do it, though naturally we’ll expect ’em to buy SOMETHING from the store. We’ve also got a whole array of classes, and the schedules usually feature 3-month stretches, so you can plan in advance. I’ve been making jewelry for 3 years, and believe me, I don’t know how to make HALF the stuff my fellow Nomads teach. So it’s an excellent opportunity if you’re looking to expand your
Let me say, I LOVE this boutique. I was very excited that there was finally a boutiue close by. I have been there many many times and my infant daughter has several of their outfits, toys and accessories. When other reviewers say that Baby Bugaloo is pricey, I really disagree. Of course, they will not be chain store prices… but they are very reasonable as far as boutiques go and half the prices of other boutiques here in Austin (i.e. Oh Baby). Most boutiques have too much of other items and not clothing and Im glad that Baby Bugaloo has more clothing to choose from so I dont have to order it from different websites to get what I want! I dont think that the prices are NOT that much more than websites either. I search for items online frequently and, for example, was looking for an awesome tutu and matching top for my daughter’s one year birthday. The original seller’s website sold it only for $2 cheaper, so after shipping I would’ve paid more! AND it ws the cutest I could find anywehe
I have one of these bags and receive soooo many compliments on it. I designed it myself and had it delivered to my home. It was nice not having to spend hours in a store looking and looking. Designing it to coordinate with my clothes and lifestyle was a great idea and a much better use of my time. The bags are high quality and very unique!Pros + Delivery, Hand Design, Quality Work
