Where are some dermatology residencies? ?
You are choosing your undergrad university based on the fact that they have a derm residency? Bad, bad idea, Kkiim. First, the quality of the undergrad school (and the specific undergrad degree program you choose) is unlikely to correlate well with both the medical school and the derm residency at the same institution. They rarely have anything to do with each other. Second, less than half of medical students who “declare” their specialty in the first year actually go into that specialty. Most med students aren’t sure what specialty they will choose until their third year (“clerkships”). You are a senior in high school. With all respect, you have no idea what specialty you will ultimately choose. You will probably change your mind 10 times in the next 7 years before your clerkships are over. You can keep dreaming of dermatology. That’s fine. Just focus on college. Get into the college of your choice, get good grades and prepare for the MCAT. Waaaaay too early to pick a residency.
