Where are situated the main forests in England?

0

The ‘main’ forest in england are (and i presume you refer to the biggest) are the new forest in hampshire southern england and theres the forest of dean in west england near the welsh border. Then theres keilder forest in the far north in northumberland and theres one in east anglia which is a plantation forest near the brecklands. So they are located all over really. Of englands ancient forest only about 2% remains. The south west has surprisingly very little forest ancient or otherwise considering the amount of rural land there. the south east however has surprisingly large amounts of forest in sussex, kent, hampshire and berkshire especially considering the amount of urban land use there, much of it appears to be ancient as well.
