Where are records maintained that show the location of septic systems?

0

The DEH Land and Water Quality Division offices located in El Cajon at 200 East Main Street, 6th floor; and San Marcos at 151 East Carmel Street maintain records of septic systems that have been installed since the late 1970’s. These are filed by the tax assessor parcel number. The phone number for the El Cajon office is (619) 441-4030. The phone number for the San Marcos office is (760) 471-0730. Currently the Land and Water Quality Division is in the process of converting these paper documents into electronic records that will ultimately accessible from any DEH office location.
