Where are puppy mills located, and where are they most popular?
According to the Humane Society of the United States, thousands of “puppy farms” exist — the number is probably actually in the tens of thousands. The seven states with the most puppy mills are Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania — but they can be found in every state in the United States, and in some foreign countries .We are finding that puppymillers are now moving from states with increasing regulation to states with no regulation, such as Wisconsin.
