Where are Most of the Tobacco Crops Planted?
The countries where most of the tobacco crops are planted are as follows, China, India and Brazil. Tobacco was once a prominent crop in the higher northeastern states such as Kentucky and Tennessee, but most farmers have moved to another crop due to imported tobacco being priced to low for them to compete with. The tobacco industry in the states is highly taxed and those tax costs have all trickled down to the farmer.
