Although regional airlines such as Pinnacle and Mesaba are NOT considered part of the General Aviation industry, they hire people in entry level positions such as pilots, maintenance technicians, and dispatchers. Regional airlines offer an excellent opportunity to gain experience and develop a work history. Some people prefer the regional airlines because of the unique benefits they have to offer. For some people, working for the major airlines as a pilot, maintenance technician, dispatcher, or aviation manager is their ultimate career goal.
