Where are fuel tanks located in microlight aircraft?

0

It depends on the aircraft. Few ultralights use gravity feed (most have fuel pumps). On Quicksilvers, the most common ultralight, and some others, the tank straddles the wing root tube. In many others, the tank or tanks are located in the fuselage, behind the seat. These are the most common locations for pusher type aircraft. On tractor aircraft (engine in front), the tank is often in the fuselage between the cockpit and the engine. Some ultralights, especially gyrocopters, have “seat tanks”, where the tank is built into the molded plastic seat, or attached to the back of the seat.
